Unforgettable (Edward Cullen)

Chapter 6

"Why do you need me to take them down?" I ask.

"Because of your gift." Aaron tells me, so I roll my eyes.

"So I'm just some pawn again. Nope I'm good. Plus if I did help you guys, then I would be putting the Cullens in danger anyway." I tell them.

"What if i told you that they have your brother?" Rebecca asks which makes my eyes widen.

"My brother? He's a vampire?" I ask surprised.

"Yeah. He got turn about a year or 2 after you died. He almost died in a car crash with his friends, but he was saved. Then the Volturi found him and thought his gift was great, so he's with them." Rebecca tells me.

"How do you know all of this?" I ask.

"Because we were there. He saved us from getting executed, so we don't want to kill him, but we do want to kill the others." Melissa tells me, so i sigh.

"Give me a week." I tell them.

"5 days." John tells me, then they leave. I finally let out a breath i didn't even know I was holding. I fall to my knees as i close my eyes. My brother is alive and a vampire? Plus he had been for almost as long as me as well? What am I gonna tell the Cullens? What am I gonna tell Edward?

"Sara are you okay?" I hear, so I open my eyes to see Edward crouched down in front of me.

"Yeah I'm fine. They just wanted to talk and say hi." I tell him as I stand up with him following, but he doesn't seem to fully believe me. "I promise everything is fine." I reassure him so he nods. "Now, come on, let's go back." I tell him, so we both run back home. As soon as we get back, Alice comes over and pulls me in for a hug.

"Are you alright, Alice?" I ask her as we pull away so she nods.

"I am. Are you?" She asks.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I ask her.

"Well, I had a vision and I saw you with other vampires that I've never seen before and they seem too friendly." Alice tells me so I nod.

"I'm alright. They didn't do anything to me. We just talked." I reassure her and she nods.

"I know, but in my vision I overheard about-" I quickly cut Alice off, but covering her mouth with her hand.

"What did you talk about with those guys?" Edward asks me so I look at him as I remove my hand from Alice's mouth. 

"Nothing important." I tell him.

"I'll read Alice's mind if I have to." Edward tells me.

"Why don't you trust me?" I ask him, getting frustrated.

"I do trust you." He tells me just as the other Cullens get to us.

"No you don't! If you truly trusted me then you would drop this subject." I tell him as I point at him.

"I just want to protect you!" He defends.

"I don't need you to protect me! Not now, not ever! I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself. I've done it for almost a hundred years!" I remind him then I take a deep breath to calm down. "I can't believe you." I say to him and he's about to say something to me, but I speed away. I don't go inside, instead I speed through the forest with tears in my eyes, but I suddenly stop as I break down in sobs. I fall to my knees, holding my arms to my chest as I continue to sob. I then let out a cry of pain as all of the grief and loss feelings come back with memories filling my brain of my old family. "Why?" I ask myself as I put my hands on the ground. My hands then turn into fist and I hit my hands on the ground a little bit before wiping my tears away and standing back up. I speed back to the house and make sure no one can see me as I jump up to my room where I go in through my window. I grab a few things of mine and put them in a bag before making a note and leaving. I'm gonna help them destroy the Volturi. I'm gonna get my brother back. But I'm not gonna drag the Cullens in and get them killed. I get to the edge of the forest with my bag and I look back at the Cullen house. "So long, Cullens." I say with a sad smile before turning away and running off for good. Nothing ever lasts forever. Even when you're immortal. 

3rd Pov

Time Skip

Only an hour or so after Sara left, the others realize she's gone. Alice suddenly gasps and drops the pen she was holds so Jasper quickly goes to her side and rubs her arms to comfort her. "Alice? What did you see?" Carlisle asks her so she looks around at all the others with tears in her eyes. She doesn't answer so Edward reads her mind and sees what she saw which makes him quickly run out of the room and to Sara's room with the others watching him before looking back at Alice who finally speaks.

"I saw her die." Alice says.

"Who? Who did you see die?" Esme asks.

"Sara." Alice answers so they all share looks with Jasper hugging Alice to calm her down. Edward then comes back into the room with Sara's note in his hands.

"What's that?" Rose asks.

"A note from, Sara. She's gone. And she's never coming back." Edward answers.

"That's bullshit." Rose says, taking the note from him that she then reads before looking back up at them with a shocked expression on her face. "It's true. She's gone." Rose confirms.

"We have to find her before she gets herself in trouble and killed." Emmett says.

"Yeah, but where do we even start? We don't actually know a lot about her. She's lived in different places before with different people. We don't know where she is." Rose asks as Carlisle takes the note from her to read it himself.

"I might know." Alice speaks up, wiping her tears away so they all look to her again.
