I haven't seen you in forever!

I breathed as I arrived at the rental house that Calum had given me the address to. I saw a familiar car out front- the one that Luke used often to come hang out with me, and the question crossed my mind again as to why he was not the one who had volunteered to "date" me.

I climbed out of the back of my Uber and waved goodbye to the driver, who was looking around curiously at the giant houses surrounding us in North-West Hollywood. Shutting the door, I pivoted around to face the house.

Before I could even take my first step on the long, brick pathway, a window opened from the upstairs and out popped a colorful head. I stopped in my tracks and waved at Michael, who I recognized as one of the guitarists in the band. Michael waved down at me from the window and turned to yell into the house, "CALUM, YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND'S HERE."

From the bottom floor, through the barrier of the front door I could hear a familiar voice yelling back, "CALUM'S NOT BACK YET YOU IDIOT." I giggled and loosened up a bit, hearing Luke's voice and listening to the click of the door that opened to his smiling face.

"Y/N! I haven't seen you in forever!" Said Luke, jogging down the brick stairs and halfway across the pathway to meet me.

I smiled and held out my arms for a hug, "Lucas it's been like 5 days."

"It feels like an eternity," Luke said, wrapping his long arms around me.

Luke was tall. Taller than me, and when he hugged me he did this thing where he would place his chin right on top of my head. He was a good hugging height.

"How's it going?" Asked Luke, pulling away and sticking his hands in his pockets.

"Well I have a boyfriend now," I said, raising my eyebrows and walking beside him.

"Right," Said Luke, "Calum Hood...Calum Thomas Hood... The man, the myth, the legend."

I laughed tentitively and jumped in front of him before he could open the door.

"Luke," I said, looking into his eyes. I was confident around him, he was a good listener and a better friend. Not judgemental, and the best was that he didn't treat me like a celebrity.

He stopped babbling and took his hand away from the door handle, sticking it in his sweatshirt pocket and half-smiled at me, "What's up." He said.

"Why am I dating Calum?" I asked.

"To promote both of our bands?" Said Luke, moving one of his feet on top of the other, crossing and uncrossing his legs. He was fidgetty.

"What the hell Luke, why are you being so weird?"

"You're being weird." He avoided eye contact with me.

        "Nice comeback." I smirked.

Before I could say anything else, a black car pulled up next to the house and out popped Calum, carrying a box of pizza.

I looked over at Calum and saluted him, "Do you want help?" I asked, half-shouting at him as he approached the house.

"Carrying the pizza? I don't think so," Calum Said, "I'm totally getting the first slice."

Calum stepped up onto the porch with me and Luke, looking at both of us and sighing.

"Oh, uh, Y/N, this is Luke, Luke this is Y/N." Said Calum, gesturing to each of us using the box of pizza.

I laughed and looked at Calum quizically.

"What's so funny?" Said Calum, trying to find the joke in my reaction, "Do I have something on my face?"

"No Cal," Said Luke, shaking his head and pushing open the door to let us in.

I stepped inside the large foyer and glanced around, turning to Luke.

"Do I get the grand tour?" I asked him, "You said you'd trade me tours when I gave you a tour at my house."

Calum chimed in, "Wait are you just joking around? Cause unless I'm going crazy, I've never been to your house," Calum laughed.

"What?" I said, turning to watch him set down the pizza on the table in the room next door, "I was talking to Luke."

"Wait..." Said Calum, stopping in his tracks and furrowing his eyebrows quizically, "You two know eachother?"
