That night, Y/N and Genya didn't see each other after that incident. Still, the interaction was comforting to Y/N, because they knew that someone would be there for her when she needed someone to talk to.
She threw herself onto the futon they had laid out on the floor. The soft material enveloped their form, almost replicating the feeling of a warm hug. A grin spread across her face in happiness. It had been a long time since they had slept under a roof and in a warm bed.
'This feels nice..."

The next morning Y/N woke up to the sounds of the birds chirping next to her open window. To some people, this might seem peaceful, but to Y/N the sound was quite bothersome.
"Oh just shut the hell up already," they complained rather loudly while burying themselves deeper under her blanket.
A knock sounded at her door, so they got up and answered it, shivering slightly from the shock in temperature. Opening the door slightly, stood Sanemi looking at her grumpily with his hands on his hip.
"All the Hashira are getting together to hang out, and Mitsuri really wants you to come," he declared, practically screaming at them in the process.
Y/N shrugged but then envisioned a downcast expression on the sweet Hashira's face. Right as Sanemi was about to leave, she grabbed his shoulder roughly.
"Yeah, nevermind I'll go."
"Then hurry your ass up, I'm about to leave."

After Y/N had gotten dressed and taken care of some of their bare necessities, the pair set off on their way.
The minute they arrived, Mitsuri ran up to Y/N, and enveloped them in massive hug. The pink haired Hashira barely made it up towards Y/N's chest which made it a little awkward, not to mention that the latter wasn't really used to physical affection.
They awkwardly patted her back in return, hoping that she would see it as a comforting gesture. Mitsuri nearly squealed of happiness.
"It's so nice to see you Y/N!," she said slightly blushing, but that was normal.
"H-hey."
Y/N followed her into a large room where pretty much everyone from the previous meeting sat waiting for her.
"Hi guys..."
A few pleasantries were exchanged but Y/N felt increasingly uncomfortable so they ran off to find some fresh air. After a few moments of jogging, she found a small courtyard with a koi pond with some fish swimming peacefully inside the waters.
They sat down, listening to the gentle sound of water trickling down a small waterfall. Footsteps sounded behind her, and then a plop right next to them.
"Hey," a gruff voice sounded in her ear.
Their eyes widened.
"Hi Ino."
Both of them sat in silence for a bit.
"You know I don't blame you for what happened," he whispered softly.
"I know."
"But you still blame yourself."
"Yeah."
Y/N paused for a moment.
"Does Zenitsu know yet?" they said as they tilted their head back to look up at the cloudy sky.
"Zinitso probably does."
She chuckled softly, "I see you still have that nasty habit of mispronouncing things."
"But the great Inosuke is allowed to, since he is the greatest!"
"You haven't changed a bit."
"Really?"
"I mean you obviously got more ripped, but besides that you're still wearing that stupid mask. Plus sometimes your personality is just so strong it can't change over time."
They both laid backwards staring up at the sky, with their shoulders touching just like they did when they were little.
"You always did love clouds didn't you Suna?"
"Yep."
They sat there in silence for an hour, listening to the water and just enjoying each others presence. Inosuke seemed like a completely different person around her, or maybe it was just the fact that he realized he couldn't goof off this first time seeing them again.
Either way, he made the right decision, because after that Y/N had to face her half-brother.
