[d/n = dads nazme]
It was a quiet and humid evening in Seoul, the sky adorned with a big layer of gray clouds letting a faint amount of sunlight shine onto the city.
[Name] was just coming back from the skate park after winning a competition against some cocky high school kid, while everyone recorded the race, no doubt someone with the athlete's social status was going to have their name trending on Twitter again. Which reminded them to probably check Twitter and post something.
Unlocking the phone that was engulfed in a [phone case design] cover, the teen opens the blue app, gliding their fingertips on the glass light-up screen that was reflecting the dim sun, which also had slightly visible cracks. They check the search bar for trending topics, continuing to walk with their skateboard to their side at a steady and calm pace.
The single figure strolling around the streets of Gangnam then spots their dad's name in #3 trending under the 'racing' category.
'he probably pulled a cool stunt at today's race' [Name] thinks with a hint of pride surrounding the thought. Focusing their eyes on the topic they start to scan the text.
As [name] reads the title, the small smile that had stayed with them the whole way back from the skate park faded..
' Racecar driver Greenlight crashes into Famous Racecar Driver [D/n] Making him Crash Into safer barrier at SKRE....'.
[Name] freezes as it feels like the time dose too, every raindrop every particle, frozen..
Hands belonging to the teen frantically try to pull up the video footage from the clutter of tweets relating to the topic.
They scrolled and watched every video available of the accident to prove to their eyes that were wide in disbelief. The videos consisted of shocked expressions and the red and black blur that was the famous racers car as he crashed into the safer barrier with the amount of impact that was accumulated with the speed of the car, in some even the other racer that collied with [Name's] dad could be seen too in some videos.
Swearing under their breath they frantically throw their skateboard on the ground, hopping on it and pushing their foot on the smooth concrete of the suburbs as hard as they can. The teen wasn't used to seeing their dad in these situations as he would normally manage to evade them.
They busted through the grand door of the [Last Name] estate, quickly clicking on their father's contact hoping he was okay.
Calling... Calling.... Calling... Calling...
00:00 Your call has be-
As soon as [Name] heard the automatic message they hung the phone up quickly looking through their contacts and remembering their dad had given them his manager's number in case of an emergency. Pacing around the kitchen area they dialed the number.
Ringing..... Ringing.....
00:00.
"Um, Mr. Tadashi, my dad won't pick up the phone I saw what happened is he alright?" [Name] said in a panic.
"Oh, Hi [name], Mr. [L/n] is getting carried out in a stretcher, he is unconscious but the paramedics suspect it was only a leg injury." He says with a calming voice as he glances at your dad. "I will call your butler to bring you over to the hospital." He says right after. "Okay thank you, Mr. Tadashi!" The teen says as they sigh in relief, the unsettling feeling still lingering in their stomach.
"No problem [name] don't worry your dad will be okay. I have to go now the ambulance is moving, goodbye." The man on the other line says with a small bit of empathy in his words.
