*Ritchie's pov*
I watched Devin headed up to his room. All he said was that he was going to his room but I saw something I didn't like. I saw bandages on his face.
"Is he always like that brother?"
"No from what I've seen through the past couple of days he comes in gets a glass of water and then goes to his room and locks it." I said
"Locks it?" Flurry asked
Flurry is my girlfriend although we both know we aren't in love with each other, actually we both want different people. Flurry has an idea of who she wants as for a partner, and I'm basically waiting for the day for one of them to confess to each other so that I don't have to be burdened with having to fake date her.
"Ya I don't know why but he locks his door. Anytime he's in his room." I said
"Huh. Well anyways me and my husband just wanted to say it's lovely to see you guys have settled in nicely into the dorms. We have business to get back to so have a wonderful day." Flurry's mom said and my dad bid us a good bye.
I sighed finally being able to move away from Flurry. It's just awkward between me and Flurry so being able to do that was great.
"Devin didn't look too good." Flurry said
"Ya I saw that too." I said
"What do you mean?" Brandon asked
"He had some bandages on his face." I said
"Ah. Probably just fell or something." Brandon said
"Maybe, but Ritchie you didn't tell me your roommate was a shy cutie." Flurry said
"He's not shy." I said
"Ah come on!" Flurry said before we heard a knock at the door.
Brandon walked over and opened the door and we heard some nervous chuckling.
"Hi Brandon what are you? Wait your here with Ritchie huh."
"Yes is there a reason why your here." Brandon asked
"Don't be rude invite them in!" Flurry yelled and I watched as Lucas, Kit, and David came in.
"I'm still surprised Mario didn't want to come." David said
"Leave it be... Wait another girl?" Kit said and I rolled my eyes
"I'm surprised you don't recognize her." I said
"Shut up Ritchie." Kit said and I watched Lucas go upstairs.
Lucas knocked on the door and we all went silent looking up.
"Hey Devin can I come in?" He asked and we all heard some shifting around before Kit and David ran upstairs
"Hey come in." Devin said and all three of them entered his room and he closed the door and I didn't hear shuffling so I'm assuming he didn't lock the door.
"Your roommates strange. I want to meet him." Flurry said
"Go right ahead I'm going back to my room." I said
"I'll head back to my room then. Good luck with that group, brother." Brandon said
"Ya see ya brother." I said and I went upstairs. I slowed down when I passed Devin's door to see if I could hear anything.
"My god that looks deep."
"I know."
"I'm going to assume it's a usually treatment?"
"...ya."
I wanted to spy more but I heard Flurry coming up so I walked into my room.
What does he mean by normal treatment?
*Devin's pov*
I woke up, I let Lucas in, and Kit and David was with him. I thought of a water pan and some bandages and I sat down. Lucas had David and Kit sit on my bed and I removed my cloak and shirt to reveal all the bandages.
"Jeez look at you." Lucas said
"I know he was extremely upset yesterday." I said
"Wait that's when you rushed out the room was it to prevent this?" Kit asked
"More or less. It's nothing compared to what would have happened if I showed up even later." I said
"Jeez man that's shit." David said
Lucas started to remove bandages and he dipped his hand in the water and started to heal me a bit.
"My god that looks deep." David said
"I know." I said
"I'm going to assume it's a usually treatment?" Lucas said
"...ya." I said
"That's harsh." David said
"Ya. However it's me or...Lisa." I said hesitantly.
"Oh isn't she?" Lucas said
"Ya she is." I said before a knock at my door sounded.
Kit got up and opened the door and sounded like she knew the person. I watched as the person who was with Ritchie came in and sat down.
"Sorry Devin, I know Flurry and she's a great person. She won't tell anyone." Kit said
"I'm sorry you got this beaten up. I'll beat up who ever did that to you." Flurry said
"You can try to fight my dad but he'll just freeze you." I said
"Freeze does he have ice magic?" David asked
"Frost magic." I said
"Oh I could easily fight that bastard." David said
I hummed before I felt a pain shoot through and I harshly pulled my arm which Lucas held onto and my breathing quickened and I heard multiple voices until one yelled and my name got called several times
"Hey hey focus on my voice hey focus on my voice."
My eyes moved up to Flurry who was not only talking to me but also keeping me in place as pain shot around my arm and body.
"Ok got it." I heard Boat say but I watched Flurry do breaths and slowly my breathing matched hers.
"Hey hey it's ok. You'll be ok, but we needed to get that thing out before we could help out." Flurry said and I looked down.
"Hey I think we just need to refresh your bandages at this point I think I've healed the deepest ones." Boat said and I brought myself up into a sitting position and nodded.
Boat patched me up and I looked down at the water bin which I saw couple of small glass shards. Lucas must have seen them through the water.
After I was patched up I got to talk with Flurry a bit more and I thanked her for calming me down and she told me it was ok because she also knew someone who got worked up and started to panic a bit.
Soon after conversations it was becoming dark so everyone bid me a bye and I just imagined a box of donuts and ate that for comfort before brushing my teeth and I flopped onto my bed and closed my eyes going to sleep.
At least I don't have to deal with that old prick.
