"Do you mind if I just relax on this one?" JJ breathed out a puff of smoke as the pogues made their way to an old ass cemetery. "It's been a long day, and a lot of stuff's gone down. Oh, did you want a hit of this?" He asked Pope who shook his head at him.
"I'll keep the signal clear." Pope mumbled, putting his hand up to refuse JJ's offer.
"Dude, okay. Do you understand that your problem is that you don't get creative? If you got creative -" Y/n cut JJ off, taking the joint from his hand and breathing in a long puff.
Y/n couldn't get JJ's face out of her head, the way he moved in to get closer to her when they were under the tree. She wanted to kiss him, but she knew she couldn't. Not with the rule set in place, and she was doing well with trying to get over her small crush on him, up until this point.
JJ whistled at y/n as she breathed out the smoke that filled her lungs. "Damn, ladybug, getting grassed real quick." JJ chuckled, taking the blunt from her and puffing the smoke in her face, Pope rolling his eyes at them.
Y/n didn't know how or when they arrived at the front of an old tomb, trying to push open the concrete slab of a door, but she knew it was to help John B. Y/n let out a shriek and jumped back as a snake slithered through one of the cracks, the other pogues also jumping back.
"That's a moccasin, all right." JJ spoke, backing up from the snake. "Ye olde Dr. Cottonmouth. Death in tall grass." JJ started barking at the snake, y/n slapping his shoulder.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Y/n spoke through her teeth. "You're gonna wake the dead!"
"They're afraid of dogs. Everyone knows that." JJ shrugged at her. "If there's one, there's probably dozens." JJ began barking again, moving closer to the tomb.
"Stop barking at the snakes." John b huffed, holding JJ back as Kie observed the tomb. "We're not gonna get in there, all right? It's not budging. We should probably just go."
"I can get through." Kie spoke up, JJ helping her get through the hole in the tomb. We waited a few minutes before she came back out, holding an envelope.
"Code red. Code red. Square groupers! Square groupers!" JJ called out, everyone looking to see two guys in a golf cart driving towards us. "Homie's got a gun." JJ spoke, as everyone began running towards the gate of the cemetery, jumping over it, Pope getting stuck in the process.
Pope's pants ripped as the pogues helped him off the fence, running to John B's van.
"It's a little tootsie roll!" John B cackled, starting up the van and driving off to the chateau. When they arrived, JJ was making a sandwich with moldy bread, y/n cringing at him.
"That bread had mold on it three days ago." Pope scoffed at him, sitting down on the couch.
"I'll just pull off the bad parts. Plus, mold is good for you. It's just a natural organism." JJ justified with a shrug, y/n furrowing her brows at him as she pulled out a bag of crisps.
"That's not how it works, J." Y/n spoke with a slight chuckle, pulling JJ by the arm to join the rest of the group, JJ biting into his sandwich before gagging and spitting it out.
John B pulled out a map from the envelope, along with a tape recorder, hitting play as everyone looked at each other, listening to his father speak. Kie comforted John B as he cried, everyone following him to the pier as he stared at the water.
"How much was it again?" JJ asked, Kie playing the ukulele softly. "400 mil?" JJ guessed, John B nodding. "Pope, what are you gonna do with your split?" He added.
"Pay for college in advance. And also, textbooks. Those are expensive." Pope responded, y/n letting out a small giggle. "Kie?" Pope turned to her.
"Just wanna make a double album. About OBX, the Pogues." Kie said, smiling at the sky.
"I know what I'll do." JJ piped in. "I'm gonna get a big ass house on Figure Eight and go full Kook. Gonna get a marble statue of myself, and then I'm gonna get a koi pond with a bunch of those fish, and a cavoodle." JJ smiled at y/n at the last part, as she looked down with her cheeks tinted pink.
"What about you, JB?" Y/n spoke up, not wanting to talk for too long. John B turned to y/n, a smile on his face.
"To going full kook." He grinned, holding up his beer as everyone laughed. They all sat on the pier for a while, laughing with each other and drinking their beers, and telling everyone about their hopes and dreams.
"Alright y'all, I'm heading off to bed." Y/n yawned, standing up from the beam she was sitting on. "Goodnight everyone!" She smiled giving everyone a hug before walking down the pier, JJ watching her.
"I'm gonna head off as well." JJ mumbled, John B raising a brow at him. "'Night y'all." He was a about to walk off when John B whispered a 'don't do anything I wouldn't do." JJ slapping the back of his friends head before he walked off, entering the room y/n was in.
JJ silently getting into the pull out next to her, y/n turning around to look up at him, her hand resting on his lower chest.
"Did you mean what you said?" Y/n whispered, JJ slowly opening his eyes to look at her, a hum escaping his lips.
"About what?" He asked, wrapping his arm around her.
"Getting a cavoodle?" Y/n answered as he blinked at her.
"Of course I did. We can name her Olympia." JJ let out a soft smile as y/n grinned up at him, lazily lifting her head to kiss his cheek, but instead kissing the side of his chin, her top lip catching at the corner of his lips, his eyes wide open as he stared at the roof, her head resting on his shoulder.
