My Everything (4)

The drive to the Kim's mansion is troubling to Chaeyoung and Jennie. They are both hoping that their worst nightmare is not happening but until they reach, they refuse to make an assumption. Chaeyoung tried to get a hold on her family and in-laws to no avail as she kept getting voice mail or they aren't answering which only added to her stress and worry.

As her mind is running wild so does Jennie's but Jennie knew she has to remain calm for her sake and also for her family's. She reached for Chaeyoung's hand gently caressed it and brought close to her lips and kissed it to calm her wife.

After driving for 20 mins, they finally reached the Kim mansion. Soon after Jennie parked the car, with both hearts racing, they noticed something odd. They couldn't find the car that was accompanying their nanny and their only child.

Tears filled Chaeyoung's eyes as realization hit but Jennie still refused to believe it. She took hold of her wife's hands and raced to the door. The moment Mrs. Kim opened the door, Jennie quickly pushed pass her mother and frantically looked around only to find both hers and her wife's fear come true.

Chaeyoung on the other hand made her way to her wife whose already on the floor kneeling, sobbing. She quickly wrapped her arms around her shoulders gently pulling her up to sit on the couch where their families are already seated.

All of them looked on with sadness in their eyes at the couple who are breaking down in front of them. Both parents came to sit beside them to coax them to calm down. As devastated as they are with the situation, they need to remain calm to be able to somehow solve the problem.

As they both have calmed down, and Jennie finally able to find her voice asked "What the fuck happened?!" seething by the fact that her daughter and nanny are not in sight.

Mr. Choi, head of the Park's security cleared his throat and everybody turned their attention to him.

"We have tried to reach Ms. Bae but to no avail. We also tried contacting the guards who are accompanying them but we came with no response." He began to explain.

"We also checked security cameras that are around the park they went to however there was not many and some we aren't able to decipher. We can however see that while your nanny was with the baby, she received a phone call moments before they were supposed to come back here which was supposed to be an hour ago." Mr. Lee added.

"Please don't tell me that's all you can tell us right now. What are you going to do about it? Are we just going to sit here until one of us actually takes action? You have come up with something right Mr. Lee? Chaeyoung asked their head of Security.

"As a matter of fact we are tracking the vehicle's location as we speak. We have been tracking it ever since we are unable to contact any of the guards that is accompanying them. Once we are able to get a track on them, both of our teams will move in. As suggested by both Mr. Park and Mr. Kim we will not involve any police in this as we know the risk of exposure but that would be the best-case scenario. If it's the opposite, we will have no choice but to involve them but we'll try to be discreet." Mr. Choi further concluded.

With hearts and head racing, Jennie jumped from the seat and stood next to Mr. Choi.

"I'm coming with. There is no way I'm not seeing this through. I have to make sure our baby is safe and I'm not taking no as an answer." Jennie said adamant.

"Honey, I'm sure that they can handle this by themselves. With you coming with I'm sure it will be more of a distraction as they not only have to worry about bringing them home safely but on top of that worry about having to protect you too. Please just let them do their jobs." Mrs. Kim tried to reason with her daughter.

"I can take care of myself. I need to make sure she's safe mom. I need to. Please let me do this." She looked at them pleading with her eyes.

As much as Chaeyoung wanted to protest in letting her wife go, she can't help but think that it's what her wife wants. She understands her wife's point of view but she also can't help but worry that if something were to happen to her too. Finally she relents as she stood up, took both her wife's hands in hers and leans their forehead together and whispers for her to be careful.

"Chaeng.. you can't be serious. You can't let your wife go out there. It could be dangerous. Please listen to reason." Alice tried to reason with her sister.

"I understand that we are all worried. But I understand her. If it were up to me, I'd like to go too. There is nothing more I'd like to do than be with her to go and make sure that our baby is ok but one of us is enough. I distinctly remember that dad once also put his life on the line for me. Parents worry for their child. I am worried and so is Jennie. If she didn't volunteer to go with them then I would've. So if you're going to stop her then I'll go. Please.. just for the sake of our sanity, just let her. It'll also ease my mind knowing that one of us is there when we get Ella back." Chaeyoung pleaded.

" Alright then. Just please be careful." Mr. Kim relented.

"Let's go then Jennie." Mr. Choi called Jennie from the door. Just before Jennie left, she hugged her wife tight and whispered reassuring words to her wife telling her that everything will be alright, kissed her wife softly on the lips and left with a few dozen guards along with Mr. Lee and Mr. Choi.
