Ok I know this meme is disturbing to some of you but I can see why because of the ship,I'm sorry if you are one of them. 😔
But this is not really based on the meme its just the image above,like Dave doesn't walk to the window and sings "Can we pretend that airplanes..." or something.
Anyway,hope you enjoy this story !

Dave was in his room trying to sleep but It was once again one of those nights where it was hard to do so ! Sometimes when it was silence and no one to talk to,Dave thoughts were about his past as policeman or about a certain someone...

And that was obviously the reason of him being awake in this moment.

He sighed.

Taking a walk might help,so Dave headed outside for a while.It was dark through the halls because most of the Toppats went to bed already.He usually would be scared while walking in the dark but he didn't really care about this right now.

He needed this silence walking !

How did Dave even end up walking on the Toppat orbital station anyway ? Welp it all started when Dave was heading to the bathroom in his shift as night guard,but he didn't know where It was.No one at this job was nice to show him so guessing by himself was kinda the only option.But instead of a bathroom he ended up in some office and accidentally discovered some secret plans about the Tunisian Diamond that was at the museum Dave was working at.Thats when the mayor Gene Fredrickson came in,at this point Dave knew he migh got into trouble as he realises this probably was his office.But it was worst than that,he captured him !

Dave ended up in a cell and soon realized that these guys are the Toppat Clan,after a while 2 other prisoners joined.They almost planned a escape plan where they let Dave come with them,but Henry offered them to join the clan so they went with that instead.It took a while to integrate among them,but currently all is good ! It also turns out that the Toppats are actually fairly nice though.The first friends Dave made we're the other 2 who ended up like him,their names are Crystal and Simon.They we're caught when trying to steal the Romanian Ruby coincidentally at the same time when the Toppats were.After recruiting they met Austin,who was chosen to guide the 3 about the clan and how things work around here.Then he introduced them to Burt,Sven,Carol,etc.

Now back to the present ! As said before,Dave was taking a walk on the dark halls of the orbital station.Eventually he entered the cafeteria where is this big window,the earth can be seen from there.The view in this room at night was really nice,with this blue light from the huge windows spread across the whole cafeteria.Dave gets closer to the window,obviously he was here before but in the dark with only this blue aura feels different. (A/n : I know I suck at description)

He had never seen such a beautiful view since...he and Rupert once hang out on a building where the whole lights of the city can be seen !

Oh..Rupert.

Dave's old friend and partner from his police job.They applied to work at the same time,Dave was new on this job while Rupert has moving away from somewhere else.It didn't took long for them to become friends,and boy they we're so getting along ! They talked about mainly everything,from daily gossips to their life stories.For Dave..this friendship was truly special and Rupert meant a lot to him,it actually came to the feeling where he loved him.This is what Dave never told him,in fear of Rupert hating him for feeling this way.

But thats when the whole package thing happened ! Dave forgot to check the box for anything suspicious and the infamous Henry Stickmin escaped.This resulted in Dave being fired.Then getting the new job at museum,being kipnapped and now member of a criminal organization.
