Y/N POV

I laid in bed beside Eric that night, snuggled against his side as he kept his arms around me, one hand resting on my stomach.

"I'm scared," I murmured. "What if something's wrong again?"

"Nothing's gonna be wrong," he said, kissing me. "I'm positive. You won't be stressed or traveling or performing, don't you worry about a thing."

I closed my eyes, nodding.

"I hope so," I said, resting my hand on top of his.

The next day, I kissed Eric goodbye, waving farewell to John as I drove to meet with the rest of the band to announce that I was going to take a break. The air was solemn as we all sat in the room before I finally took a deep breath.

"I'm so sorry, but I just can't keep performing right now. I'm happy to work on albums but I don't feel comfortable touring, not with John the way he is. I understand if you want to replace me, I won't object to that, I just can't perform right now," I said, blinking back tears. There was also the fact I was pregnant, but I didn't quite want to tell people yet.

"It's okay," Dusk said, giving me a gentle smile. "We understand completely. Why don't we just go on hiatus for a bit then? Maybe a year or two? We can see how we feel after that and figure out what we want to do next."

"I'm okay with that," Tink said. "I love the band, but at the same time I'm not against trying other things for a year or so and then seeing what ends up happening."

We all turned to look at Moxie, who gave me a smile.

"Of course I'm not going to object," she said. "We'll take a hiatus for awhile, or we'll work on an album, we'll figure something out!"

It was a tearful but still happy goodbye, but Moxie caught my wrist as I moved to walk back to my car, pulling me into a little side room.

"What's wrong?" I asked, looking at her in confusion.

She took a shaking breath, looking pale.

"Bruce...I overheard him talking on the phone to Eric about wanting to propose to me, and I'm not sure what to do if he proposes. I love him more than anyone, but-but marriage is a lot, I'm not sure if I'm ready for that," she said quietly, cheeks flushing.

I gave her a smile, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"It'll be okay. Maybe bring up the subject before he proposes? Just talk about how you're not sure if you're ready, that way he knows to wait to propose," I said.

She nodded, biting on her lip.

"I'll have to think about it," she said, before giving me a smile. "So is John the only reason you're wanting a hiatus?"

I grinned, resting a hand on my stomach.

"You're good, I'll give you that. John is, and then so is baby #2," I admitted.

Her face lit up and she gave me a tight hug.

"Oh Y/N that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you!" she cried.

I hugged her back, unable to stop smiling.

"I'm excited but nervous, but I'll be with Eric the whole time this time so I know at least it'll be less stressful," I said, and she nodded.

"It's gonna be fine, you'll have a perfectly healthy baby."

"I hope so," I said.

~Time Skip Five Months!~

I sat on the couch, John snuggled up against my side as I read a bedtime story to him.

"The end!" I said as I reached the last page, closing the book and kissing him on the forehead. "Now let's get you to bed."

"Baby?" he asked, putting his little hands on my baby bump.

I smiled, putting a hand on top of his.

"Yes! That's your baby brother. He'll be here in just three or four months. Are you excited?" I asked, and he nodded, giving me a smile.

Eric walked into the living room, giving me a kiss and handing me the phone.

"Moxie's calling," he said, before scooping up John, tossing him in the air before catching him. "And let's get you to bed!"

"Night-night Mama!" he said, giving me a wave, and I blew him a kiss before turning to the phone.

"Hello?"

Moxie: He me asked finally, I said yes!
