In the South Pole, a young boy no older than 12 sits in a lotus position. He has hair as white as snow that is pulled back into a half-half with a strand hanging down with two blue beads on it that frames the right side of his face. His name is Kaiyan.

Big Bro said a male voice.

Brother said a female voice.

He opened his eyes to the familiar voices. The voices of his younger brother Sokka and younger sister Katara,

They ran towards, each grabs an arm and pulling him from his position on his feet.

You said you'd show me some warrior moves today said Sokka.

No Raka said he'd do some waterbending with me by the river said Katara,

You can play with magic water whenever with him said Sokka.

Alright, now you two cut it out said Kaiyan.

I never make promises I can't keep, my word is my bond said Kaiyan.

They go outside the village to a nearby river with a field beside it.

First, Kaiyan shows Sokka all the moves he'd been practicing with their father that week.

Katara boringly watched them do the routines. After a while, Kaiyan showed Sokka the last set of moves and left him to practice on his own.

Kaiyan, Look what I can do said Katara.

Katara shows him a bubble trick she had been working on that week

Did you see it? Did see you what I made? I am a waterbending master said Katara.

Then the bubble popped and she got sad.

That was great Katara, Teach me your ways o wise one said Kaiyan,

Katara instantly forgot about her bubble and cheered up.

Then Kaiyan began to teach Katara some basic moves he had learned on his own.

After a while, Sokka comes up to them.

Bro, how come my kicks are so lame while yours are so cool? Can I have some of your talent? Asks Sokka.

He smiled and shook his head at his little brother's antics.

Sokka come here for a minute said Kaiyan.

Are you gonna give me some of your talent? Asks Sokka.

No, you have plenty of your own, but I will give you a piece of advice said Kaiyan,

And what's that? Asks Sokka.

Set your own pace and learn at that pace not mine said Kaiyan.

But how will I know my own pace? Asks Sokka.

That you have to discover on your own said Kaiyan,

Then he shows Sokka the movements again and goes back to waterbending with Katara.

Little did they know they were being watched by an unknown figure who had seen it all and sent a messenger hawk to his employer to report what he had seen and left without making a single sound.

After hours of playing Kaiyan notices, the sun is beginning to set.

Ok guys time to go home said Kaiyan,

They complained and begged for a while longer but Kaiyan being the responsible older brother guided them back to the village and towards their home.

As they walked through the village Kaiyan noticed the absence of the men and made a notice in his mind to ask his mother or grandmother why and also another question that had long been on his mind.
