After what had happened, you had packed your things and fled. No one knew where you went and soon, you had become just another chapter of the school's history.

[TORONTO, CANADA, 2017]

Things were quiet in the bakery. Today wasn't so busy, which had given you time to tidy up. The area was small, though cozy. Crammed between two more popular establishments, it was rare for it to be busy in the first place.

It didn't bother you much, the online orders for custom pastries was more than enough to keep you afloat.

Your employee, Lucas—the only employee, for that matter—was sitting in a booth by the window. He was busy with some homework he had been given, and with it being so empty he could work on it without worry.

You had just finished sweeping the floor of your office when the bell rang, signaling that someone had just entered.

"Hi, I'll be with you in a second!" You said, smoothing out the apron you wore before walking to the counter.

"What can I do for..."

You had lost your train of thought. Looking up, you saw a head of white hair that was all too familiar, paired with striking blue eyes and dark sunglasses.

"Satoru?"

————

"I didn't...know you were visiting Canada," you said, anxiously rubbing the sides of your mug.

You and Satoru had sat in the booth behind Lucas, and you could occasionally see the teenager peek from behind Satoru's head.

"Didn't think I had to tell ya, not like you did," Satoru poked at his cake while you digested his words. You rubbed your mug quicker.

"Anyways~ I'm here cuz' you, lovely (Y/N), are needed back in Tokyo!" He said, a cheerful tone having been added to his voice.

"I'm needed? Satoru, I can't do anything-"
"Oh, we know that, but you are more useful than you realize."
"What do you mean?"

Glancing around, Satoru leaned over the table towards you.

"Sukuna Ryoumen has a vessel," he whispered.

"What? How?"
"Yuuji Itadori, his host, ate one of his fingers."
"Is Sukuna active?"
"Hardly, Yuuji does a really good job keeping him under control. It's real funny too, very humbling for Sukuna."

You let go of your mug to bring your hands to your face, thinking.

"How...do I help, exactly? Sukuna's the strongest curse to ever walk the Earth, and I lost any ability I had."
"Like I said, you don't know everything."

Satoru placed his fork on the empty plate and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from a pocket in his pants.

"I'll leave this with you, if you decide to come with, call me. Ya got a week to decide." Satoru said, sliding out from his seat and prancing out the door.

"Did he not pay?" Lucas asked, peeking from around the corner of his booth.
