This is my first story on Wattpad so feel free to comment things I can work on. My main concern is making sure I explain things clearly enough. Please comment if you are confused on anything in the story so I can make it clearer. Hope you enjoy :) -DG
Prologue- September 22, 1997
Cathy looked down at the two beautiful baby girls in her arms and sighed as she tried to enjoy the little amount of peace she had left.
“What are we going to do, Ruban?” she asked frustrated.
Ruban looked solemnly to the ground, shaking his head slowly.
“I don’t know, Cathy,” he said as his voice cracked. “There is only one option left.” He was almost in tears now as he thought of the fate of his brand new family.
Cathy gasped. “You can’t be serious, Ruban,” she exclaimed, even though she knew he was right. Tears started running down her cheeks as she said her next words. “How can I give up one of my babies? My beautiful daughter!”
“There is nothing else to do. The Realm only knows about one child; we can still get away with sending one to the States in case something happens to us.” Tears were running down Ruban’s face now too. “The prophecy will happen whether we want it to or not. We must not fight fate,” he said as he stared at the ground again.
“Where will she go? Who will raise our child?” Cathy asked frantically.
“I don’t know,” Ruban answered quietly as he gathered his wife into his arms and silently cried with her. “I don’t know.”
