"so natsuko huh.."
"don't even start y/n.." tsukishima groaned, already regretting giving his girlfriend the name of the waiter he was seen talking to last weekend.
the girl hummed as she continued scanning the bookshelves, occasionally eyeing her phone. she was expecting a call from akaashi today.
the two had been getting closer. y/n and akaashi had spent almost every night calling each other since that day on the beach, talking about everything and anything. just enjoying each other's company while y/n's boyfriend was off doing who knows what.
but right now, she was with her boyfriend. they were on a 'casual date,' the last date they'd be going on for a while, while y/n went away with her parents to a nearby city. and so for that reason, they decided to try something new, choosing last minute to go to a bookstore with the usual dinner and movie afterwards.
she had already questioned him about that employee girl from the beach, and he claimed she was a childhood friend. they were just "reconnecting," he stated.
"i'm not starting anything." she replied coldly, tsukishima sighed as he rubbed his eyes, already knowing what would happen if she continued acting that way towards him. fights. lots and lots of fights is what would happen.
"i know babe- let's just check out of here and go home." tsukishima steered them towards the cashier, paying as quickly as he could. the title of the book his girlfriend picked out not going unnoticed, "a good girl's guide to murder." kei gulped nervously, sending a quick smile to his girlfriend.
"do you not wanna watch the movie? it starts in ten minutes." y/n furrowed her brows as she checked the time.
"i just figured you wanted to go home. you look tired." he shrugged, seeming indifferent on whether or not they actually finished the date.
y/n pouted, "but it's black widows new movie! i heard she looked super hot in it!" she whined childishly, getting stares from other shoppers nearby.
"look you're even whining. you always do that when you're sleepy." he tried reasoning, starting to lead them to the train station.
"i guess i am a bit sleepy..." the girl yawned, resting her head on the tense boy's shoulder. "i'm gonna walk to shoyo's, i'll be fine on my own." she turned towards her boyfriend the second they reached the train's platform.
"okay, sounds good. i'll text you later." he pecked her cheek, running off to the train that was departing in the opposite direction.
the girl stood there shocked. he didn't even try to act upset? she was going to another boys house this late at night and he wasn't even jealous in the slightest?
she smiled slightly, looks like he's starting to trust me. she nodded her head, a slight skip in her step as she boarded the train leading her to hinata's.
"hey n/n!" shoyo waved her over, an excited tone in his voice. "kageyama's here too! we were thinking of having a sleepover, you in?" he ushered her inside, the chilly temperature from the outside had finally gotten to the girl who had, as usual, forgotten her sweater at home.
"ugh i wish i could but i gotta get out of here in a bit, my family's going on some sort of business trip a bit farther away." she explained, "i probably shouldn't even be here but sucks to suck." she bounded upstairs, already knowing where hinata's room was from the frequent times she's visited.
"how long are you gonna be gone?" kageyama asked, his iconic milk box at hand.
"only for a week. don't miss me too much," she teased, receiving an "as if!" from hinata while kageyama hid his blush behind his drink.
