The sun had began to set, giving a warm colour palette in the sky. Steve and Captain just finished patrolling and are now back at the base. "Well, Steve. We did a good job today! Though, nothing interesting had happened today." Captain spoke and chuckled. "Heh, yeah. But it was pretty relaxing, just driving the tank and explore abandoned dismantled buildings!" Steve said while putting his right hand behind his head. "Yeah, especially being alone with you." Captain said which makes Steve gets a bit flustered. But I guess it is nice just the two of them hanging out together. "So, Steve. Wanna go eat something? I'm starving right now!" Captain questioned and Steve nodded. "Sure, Cap. Let's go!". They then walk to the cafeteria (or something) together.
They arrive to the cafeteria. Captain ordered a beer and Steve just ordered two fried eggs and a glass of water. "Hm, I thought you want to eat something, Cap. Not drinking?" Steve questioned him confusingly. "Ehhh, just one beer could fill my stomach." Captain chuckled Steve sighed and gave Captain his last fried egg. "Eat it, Cap. You gotta have something in your stomach other than just one beer." Captain got flustered and scratch behind his head trying to decide whether he should eat it or not. And he finally came to a conclusion. "Arghh, fine. I'll eat it" Captain said in defeat. But he only said yes because he wants eat something. Not sure why he didn't order some food if he wants to eat.
It was night already, Captain and Steve had a nice conversation together. "Heh, I shot that guy's head perfectly! No miss! It was such a clean headshot!" Steve said proudly. "Oh wow, Steve. I'm impressed! Your shooting skills has really been improving!" Captain said. "Yeah, thanks, Cap" Steve chuckled. Then, their conversation was interrupted by some small tears of rain. "Oh, man. It's about to rain now. It rarely even rain here though" Captain said confusingly. Steve looks up to the sky, seemingly to get more worried. He then stood up. "Welp, Cap. This had been really nice hanging out with you right now but I guess it's time to go back to our base." Steve chuckled nervously. "Hm, I guess you're right. Let's head back!" Captain spoke and stood up. Steve walks out the cafeteria, and Captain following behind him. Silence goes upon them while walking. The rain seems to be getting more heavier making Steve more worried. Steve starts to walk faster and Captain trying to catch up to him. "Hey, Steve, slow down. Can't catch up to you" Captain said. "Sorry, Cap. Just wanted to get to my base more quicker." Steve replied. And then, a lightning struck!! Steve got down to his knees and hides his head with his arms. Steve was scared. Captain quickly got worried and run up to him. "Steve! Steve, you okay? What's wrong?" Captain spoke, feeling worried. "S-sorry, Cap. I just... I'm just afraid of lightning. I really fucking hate those loud noises!" Steve replied to Captain. Captain calms himself down. A bit flustered about this. But then he picks up Steve like a bridal style. "Wh? CAP!!" Steve got flustered. "Hey, you're gonna keep on going down to your knees if you're gonna walk yourself. So, it's better for me to help and get back to the base more faster!" Captain replied, explaining himself. Steve hides his face in embarassment. "Gosh, let's just hurry up I guess." Steve said. Captain chuckled and runs while holding Steve. Another lightning struck, making Steve flinched. "Gosh, Cap! Can't you go any faster??!" Steve said in an angry tone. "Patience, Steve! We're almost there." Captain spoke, being annoyed.
They have finally reached their destination. Captain tries to find Steve's room, but it was unsuccessful. Steve sighed and said "Just down that hallway, there should be my name written there." Captain looked at Steve and looked to the hallway. He then sprinted to that direction. Captain opens Steve's room when he got to it and puts Steve down to bed. Steve was sitting there, still kinda terrified despite being in his room. Captain sits next to him, and looked at Steve trying to figure a way to calm him down. He then decided to hug Steve, letting him know he's there beside him. "Everything's okay, Steve. I'm right here to protect you" Captain said reassuring Steve. Steve was surprised but seems to have calmed down a bit knowing he's there. He feels.. safe now. Steve hugs back, finally calming down. "Thank you, Cap." Steve spoke, thanking him. Captain kissed Steve on the forehead and putting Steve's head against his chest while cuddling him. They both were kinda tired due to the recent event and laid on the bed together. "Goodnight, Steve." "Goodnight, Cap."
They both then drove off to sleep.

Woo! First request done! This was fun to make. Got me squealing like a fangirl when I was writing the last part!
