Laughter coo, you running around, trying to catch your bestfriend while playing a tag game with some other folks– just enjoying the blissful sun of afternoon.
You definitely enjoyed yourselves, breeze of invigorating air whirling pass through your delightful faces. It sounds so childish but who cares, at least y'all enjoy.
Until, out of the blue, you went out of the picture, figuring yourself sitting on the grass, rubbing your clothed knee with turmoil countenance.
“Are you alright?” Your bestfriend blurt, crouching down to wrap her arms around yours. “How'd you not see the rock. You're so clumsy.”
Wordless, you cheekily grin, trying to stand up with her help, despite the burning sensation tingling your sore right leg. “Ah– shit!” you mumbled under your breathe.
“Is everything alright?” Someone interlaced, making you both glance at the back. “What happened?”
“Ahh. She tripped on the rock and fall. She's so clumsy, and now– she can't walk on her own.” Your bestfriend frankly blurt- obviously talking about you, expression wrenching into distasteful ones, pinching her side.
“Yeah whatever.” With a huff, laughing out the situation, you untangle her arms, “Let's just– ugh shit! I mean Sit for a moment.” you smiled, stubbornly walking through the bench while limping.
Yuta bitterly watch you in pain, instinctively catching up behind to help, like the gentleman he is. His shoulder brush against yours, hesitantly hoisting his arms, offering for your support. “Uh- Uhm. Let me help you.” you heard, craning your head to his direction with confused eyes.
“Ah- Ohh.” You froze, glancing side ways and about to decline his offer when you notice the anticipation in Yuta's eyes. He looks determine to help despite the fact you're not really close to each other.
With a shrug, you let yourself hold his arms, smiling at the same time those lips of his tug up with joy– glad that he didn't embarrassed himself if ever you didn't acknowledge his helping hand.
“Here take a seat.” he mumbled. You settling on the bench, grunt escaping your mouth when you felt your knee throb in pain.
“Thank you.” You utter, timidly smiling while he nod in response.
For a minute of sitting on the bench, your bestfriend now frantically tap her fingers on her phone, watching her scrunching her nose. “Eyy. By the way- bad news... I need to go.” she blurt, emphasizing go, looking at you with a grin.
Your eyes widened. “Why? Don't leave me.”
“sorry...” she shrugged. “Mom texted me, We're going somewhere. She's on her way here.”
“Aww... This means I am going home too.” you pout, but then you grew confused when you friend wear a stupid looking smile with wiggling brows.
“It took minutes walking to your home from here. Right? Let Yuta help you.” she said, nudging your arm pertly, “Take her home Yuta.” mischievously gazing at the male.
“No need... It's just 5 minutes away. I can walk.” you utter defensively, clutching your hand on her shirt when she's about to stand up and leave.
“Your house is far.” she argued, taking back her shirt.
“It's just a few streets away.” you roared back, with eyes squinting, you tugging her clothes more, resulting into a petty argument.
“Let go.” She huff, wriggling more, atlast getting freed from your grip, “Byeee.” then she starts running away, leaving you dumbfoundingly.
“So- uh, are you going home?” Yuta cleared his throat, head tilting agonizingly slow through his direction.
“I guess so.” you utter, standing up from the bench, just to stumble back because you accidentally stepped on your right foot, resulting for you to yelp in the stinging sensation.
“Is it getting painful?” Yuta mumbled, standing right in front of you, “You think you can walk home?” he utter nonchalant yet not enough to conceal that he's also concerned, gazes fixated on you.
“I think so.” you blurt, half doubtful, still standing on your own with much careful and slow pace.
Yuta held you upper limb, making you pause and stare at him in anticipation– sure he was about to say something. “Hmm..What is it?”
“I'll carry you?”
“What!” You blurt, surprised. “No! I'm fine.”
“No, I mean piggyback ride. It'll be easier... so you can go home fast and treat you bruise.” He explained, looking you again like how he wait for your response earlier. Doe eyes boring on you with persuasion. “So?”
“Okay.” You mumbled in defeat. “But don't blame me if you hurt your arms and back.”
Yuta smile, nodding while back facing you– crouching down, letting yourself trust him when his arm snake around your thighs, skillfully carrying you in his back.
You wrapped your arm loosely around his neck too, getting ready when he stand on his feet while you're elevated from the ground– body sending vibrations on yours while he started walking.
The atmosphere between you and him gradually became comf'table, pointing out the direction to reach your house while exchanging casual conversation.
“I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I should've bothered you.” You mumbled, feeling his limbs getting tired when he repositioned you in his arm. “My house is right there. You can now drop me.”
“Drop you?”
“Slowly... be careful. I don't wanna get hurt” You added immediately, chuckling.
“I'll put you down when we're there.” He coo lightheartedly, advancing for more blocks before stopping in front your gate.
“Thank you so much Yuta.” You singsong, shyly gazing at him.
“No worries.” He responded, while you motioned him to go and you can now take care of yourself, when he suddenly speak up again. “By the way, can i get your contact. We’ve known each other because of a mutual friend but haven't really interact.”
“Oh yeah. Sure.” you exclaimed, taking your phone out with a smile out of gratitude.
