At the Kingdom of Merania
The first day of the war
Jongseong's POV

"Son, make sure to save your water! I don't want you to die of dehydration," my mum said, as she was fixing my armour. I nodded, saying "I know,". I looked in the mirror to see what I looked like. I don't want to fight in the war but I don't really have a choice.

"You'll do fine. Both of you," she said, looking at Sunghoon who was also in the room. A maid walked in to say "Excuse me, it is now time to go,". We all walked out of the room, walking towards the front of the castle. Once we got outside I noticed the horses that we would be riding. I did have a little practice of riding a horse when I was younger so I think I'll be ok to ride the horse.

I looked at my mum noticing that she was about to cry. She quickly wiped her tears, smiling at both me and Sunghoon. We both brought her into a hug. "You'll be fine. Ok boys?" My mum said, kissing both of our foreheads. "Bye mum. I love you," I said, before being instructed to get on the horse.

When I got on the horse everything was fine. I didn't fall and the horse didn't go crazy. I saw Sunghoon with mum and I noticed that he was lightly crying. I was then told to start heading off.

At the battle fields
Ni-Ki's POV

I just got to the battle field. It looked almost exactly the same as the paintings I saw yesterday. Jungwon hyung told me to stand next to him. Across from us I saw the Merania Kingdom lined up similarly to how we were. We were so far away from each other, that the Merania Kingdom honestly looked like ants.

I started lightly laughing. "Ni-Ki! This is not a time to laugh!" Jungwon hyung said. "Sorry,". I felt someone tap my left shoulder, making me look towards them. I saw Jaeyoon hyung smiling at me, giving me a thumbs up. I smiled back, also giving him a thumbs up.

I turned back around. I saw someone blow this horn thingy. He then shouted "ATTACK!!!" I almost froze when I heard his words. I saw everyone starting to run, so I did the same. I saw Jungwon hyung fighting someone, Jaeyoon hyung fighting someone. I even saw Sunoo hyung fighting someone. I saw this man running towards me. I swung my sword, hitting his waist.

I noticed a tiny bit of blood on his waist so I hit that place again making him wince. I stabbed his leg and he ended up falling to the ground. I then felt something hit my armour. I looked behind me to see someone else. I did the same thing, hitting the guys waist. When he collapsed to the ground, he stabbed my leg.

I winced in pain. I saw a big rock a few meters away. I started limping towards the rock. I tried to avoid people as I was walking. Once I got to the rock, I hid behind it. I took of the armour on my leg, rolling up the pants I had on. I saw how big the wound was. I on trying my best to keep quiet.

I grabbed the little kit my mum packed. I didn't have enough time to do anything really so I quickly cleaned it, covering it with a cloth. As I was about to stand up I saw one of my childhood friends, Ta-ki, being attacked by multiple people. (I'm sorry about this part ok). I was about to run up to them to stop them. But mouthed the words 'don't. run'. I looked at him, before running into the forest. I went behind one of the trees.

I kept on picturing everything I just saw. I should've helped him! What if I go back now and help him? I was about to run back, when I heard a twig snap. I froze, slowly covering my mouth. I looked around to see if anyone was there. That was when I saw King Seokjin in the corner of my eye.
