After that reckless scene this pig named Ryder had graciously created, we both exited the cafeteria and started walking towards the main door.
People all around us were shamelessly staring at us, well more at me, probably wondering what a weirdo like me was doing with a popular kid like him.
I would have have given them an equally testing glare and showed them where to stick their ass, had it not been for my attention shifted to the person responsible for all this-Ryder, walking beside me.
"Why are we going outside the school?", I asked him, half-jogging to catch up with his long strides. Curse him for his tall height!
"Because we have legs and I won the bet", he answered. I rolled up my eyes and glanced up at him.
Wearing black leather jacket and dark hair pushed back in a messy way, he looked a little above average. Just a little. He was looking at the crowd with a confident smile.
And, that is the difference between two of us. To him, group of people brings popularity and a sense of security, but in the case of an painful introvert like me, homosapiens acts as an additional source of anxiety.
We were polar apart and don't belong together. The fact, made very clear by the death glares and distant scoffs from the students-especially from the girls in the corridor. If only looks could kill, I would be already burried.
And at this point, with all the attention I was getting, being swallowed by the earth was a much healthier option for my mental state.
"Don't pay attention to them", Ryder's voice interrupted my anxiety-filled thoughts. He sent me a quick sideways glance and then turn to the people with his ever famous charming smile.
"Easy for you to say", I scoffed at his poor attempt of giving advice. It was like a rich person telling a poor to earn more money. Utter bullshit.
"Easy or not, but it's the truth", He shrugged and then increased his pace even more-and thus, unwillingly so did I.
By no time, we stood outside the main door and only then, did I take a breath of relief, glad to not feel eyes creeping on me anymore.
Outside it was scorching hot and I wondered why even we are here.
Squinting my eyes due to the ablazed sun, I asked him, "So, what are we doing?"
"We? More like you are doing and I am telling."
"Yeah same thing," I rolled up my eyes, "what am I doing?"
"You'll see. Let's go," he said, throwing me a very suspicious smirk and started walking ahead.
"Hey! where are you going?" I shouted at his back.
"You'll see. Now, hurry up!"
Having no other option, I hurried up.

"I will burn down this vile abomination!"
"Hahahaha" Ryder's loud laughter echoed in the empty parking area.
He was clutching his stomach with both the hands, "Vile-haha-abomin-Oh god-hahaha-please stop."
Tears started gathering in his eyes due to laughing continuously from past few minutes. For a moment, I got lost in his face.
The way his eyes crinkled up, the way he looked so carefree, and the sound of his laughs, everything was unavoidably pleasing to me. Damnit, why is anything related to him good!
