Previously...Opening up, my eyes went wide as a bottle cap.
"You!!"
"Well, hello there princess."
***********************************
Spiders, cavities, dirty socks, burnt popcorns, homophobic people, cockroaches, alarm rings, pile of garbage and a lot more. I've been repelled by many things in life before, but the person standing in front of me overshadowed all of them.
Is this the son dad told me about? This undignified poop? He is my neighbour? Oh dear universe, help me. Just the mere sight of him makes my brain itch with annoyance.
"What are you doing here?" I spat distastefully, not at all pleased by his slightly above average looks, distracting me from strangling him.
"I am here trying to figure out", unaffected by my very visible hatred, he replied with an irritating smirk.
Huh?
"Figure what out?" I asked, still fuming with anger but unable to hide the curiosity.
"The way"
"What way?" I asked again irritated by this guess-the-answer-game.
"The only way to my happiness. The way to your heart."
Damn.
Damn this stupid pick up line.
Damn his annoyingly perfect voice.
The pick up line was cheesy, I know, but still I couldn't deny the four butterflies that erupted in my belly. Looking up at him, the very first thing I noticed were his eyes. Yesterday, shining bright in the moonlight, his eyes were now a dark shade of blue, almost black, like a deep ocean. His eyes were... mesmerizing.
Focus damnit! He's messing with you and you're swooning over him! I was not swooning. He just had a nice face- no no no! Don't you have pride or what? Focus!
I would have gotten lost in those eyes and even forgave this sleep-offender, if not for the annoying smirk still plastered on his handsome- shitty face. How dare he make such lewd comment to me! It was my time to bury him in grave.
Putting on a fake smile, an agonising task by the way, I said, "You know..there's actually a way to my heart"
"Really?" His eyes flew open in shock, not expecting for his pathetic attempt of flirting to work, "What? Tell me." Yes, the perfect question.
"Burn it." I simply replied.
"Um..What?" Again a perfect question. Yes!
"Burn your dim-witted atrocious bike right now and my heart will be forever yours" saying, now it was my time to smirk. Ah the sweet satisfaction!
His reaction was priceless. Confusion, anger, amusement, shock, all were coming to him at the same time, making his face look like a severe case of constipation.
At last, he settled on amusement, "Intresting." He said with a chuckle.
Bipolar much?
I was about to tell him what else could be really interesting, when a middle aged couple, walked upto him. Seeing the similarities between three, they must be his parents. Poor people, must have taken a ton to raise a devil.
Greeting them and giving them an encouraging smile to put up with him, I invited them into the house. Inside, dad, mom and Nathan all shared pleasantries with them, with Nathan and him giving each other an awkward hug slash untimed fist bump. Men are weird sometimes.
