Everything is okay.

Everything is as it should be.

It’s a normal day under the cover of sunlight.

But to me it will only be darkness.

I may be calm.

I may be alive.

I may have a smile plastered on my face.

But you have no idea of the person underneath I’ve had to face.

You may not see a monster.

You may not see his shadows.

You may not see his weapons.

But I am living in your lie.

The devil is in disguise.

I walk in the building.

The energy is shifting.

It’s the same room.

Same school.

Same old everything.

So, who would fear danger?

But that’s when he strikes the most.

You’re not prepared.

And you never will be.

But you could never tell.

The devil wears his mask so well.

Darkness keeps surrounding me so.

Colours run and hide but I am left standing.

Rooted to the spot with nowhere to go.

Everything around me starts to shiver and cover in frost.

I can tell he is here when the temperature drops.

I cover my arms; I attempt to stay warm.

But with the survival of the fittest, I must learn quick.

The devil removes his mask and it’s someone that I know.

His invisible forces pull at me and my voice has been stolen.

A master at his craft.

A master at his lies.

A master at deceit and a master thief.

I am what he wants.

And he takes what he wants.

Panic is a seed that’s growing, but I’ve learned to control it, or else he’ll notice.

He says I have to obey him.

That he’s doing me favors.

I’m doing this to untangle myself.

So why am I feeling violated and killed in the process.

Devils know to wear a disguise, so no one has noticed.

Pinned under his weight.

Original darkness has a shape.

I’ve seen him before.

It’s not the first time.

But it’s the feelings I dread.

I’ve fought the same war with him and now it’s in my head.

He tells me to keep quiet or he’ll do me harm.

My body aches in terror and shock.
I’m trying to stay calm.

Traces pathways on my skin with his fingertips.

I’m his greatest crime scene and I wear all the evidence.
