Jethro - Baby

Thanks to TronoOscuro18 for giving me suggestions for this chapter. I have enjoyed writing this chapter and I am surprised by how much my writing style has changed since I started writing this book.

Jethro and Lily have been engaged for nearly a year but they decided to wait to have the wedding because a few months after they got engaged Lily found out that she is pregnant. It was a shock for both of them when they found out but it was a shock mostly for Jethro as when he found out, he stood in front of Lily for around 5 minutes with his mouth hanging open.

Lily and Jethro have had a hard time hiding her pregnancy from their friends as Lily normally goes to the beach with Jethro so that she can hang out with the other lifeguards. It was the last 4 months that were the hardest because Lily couldn't come with Jehtro to work as she started showing a lot and she wouldn't be able to hide it from them if they saw her so she preoccupied herself at home for the last 4 months of her pregnancy.

When Lily was a couple of weeks away from her due date, Jethro decided that he wanted to take some time off so that he can be there for Lily. Jethro's excuse for taking time off for the boys was that he was taking Lily on holiday to Paris as she has always wanted to go. They only said that so they didn't come around to their house.

Around 3 weeks later, Lily finally had her babies but they didn't realise they were having twins because one of them was hiding the other during the scans. Jethro got to name the boy while Lily named the girl. Jethro named him Sebastian Leo James and Lily named her Taylor Maeve James. Jethro and Lily decided to wait for a month before they take them to the beach and see the boys.

A month later, Jethro has been back at work for nearly 2 weeks now and they decided that morning before Jethro went to work that the twins are old enough for the boys to meet them as they have grown enough for them to be handed around a lot.

Lily has just gotten to the beach with the twins and just as she was about to knock on the door to the tower, Jethro messages Lily, "I'm in the tower at the moment as I'm having to cover for Harries as he had to go do something."

Lily then opens her messages and sends a message back to Jethro. "Good to know. I can have help with the twins then. I'm out back and Sebastian is beginning to become fussy."

Just as Lily puts her phone away, the back door opens and Jethro comes out quickly. "Sorry. Maxi is in there with me and he throwing questions at me as to why I didn't post any pictures of us in France for our holiday. I had to run out here before I spilt the secret," Jethro says while taking Sebastian out of his carrier. "Are you ready to tell them?"

"Yes, I am. I have missed them so much and I just want to see them," Lily says.

"Oh thank god that you aren't backing out of this. If we didn't do this today, I don't think I would've been able to keep it a secret any longer," Jethro says while letting out a breath.

"Well, it's a good thing we are doing this then," Lily states. "Can you get the door as I can't grab it while pushing the stroller?"

"Yeah," Jethro says while opening the door to the tower. Lily then pushes the stroller inside the tower and quickly takes Taylor out of it and puts it away, out of sight of Maxi before he comes down to see them.

Lily then ever so quietly, walks up behind Maxi while he is sitting down watching the water and beach and whispers "Boo!" in his ear while holding Taylor with one hand.

"Ahhhh!" Maxi screams while jumping out of his chair. He then quickly turns around and shouts "Lily!" while pulling her in for a hug.

"Be careful," Lily says while Maxi is hugging her.
