Hayley's POV:
It was the following week and Maxi and I have the day off today and we were cuddling on the couch watching Five Feet Apart. I have been really clingy to him over the past week and I don't know why. Sometimes it pisses Maxi off when he needs to do something important without me but he has just learnt to live with it now.
I had my chest leaning up against Maxi's chest listening to his heartbeat when the front door flies open. We both flew apart but we knew that it was too late as when we looked up we saw Jesse standing there like a deer in headlights. "Hey mate," Maxi said warily.
"W...w...wh...what?" He said while pointing between us. "What is going on between you two? Better question. How long has that been going on for?"
"Mate. It's not what it looks like," Maxi tried to lie.
"Bullshit. How long has that been going on for?" Jesse demanded.
"A year," I muttered.
"A year! How have you kept this a secret for a year now?" Jesse asked.
"We don't even know. It might be because even though we are living together I have kept my old place just in case someone wants to come to mine," I said while moving myself back onto Maxi's lap.
"Wait. You said you're living together?" Jesse asked.
"Yep," Maxi said.
"You have to tell the boys. You have kept this a secret for way too long," Jesse said.
"We know but we don't know how to tell them as we don't know how they will react to us being together. Especially Hoppo. He will go mental as he doesn't like it when lifeguards date other lifeguards," Maxi said.
"But if you tell him then he can't be that mad as you aren't keeping it a secret," Jesse explained.
"Yeah, you're probably right but with Hay clinging onto me I don't think that she is going to let me leave the house so we can go talk to Hoppo," Maxi said.
"Yep. You and I are going to stay like this for the rest of the day," I said to Maxi. "Also, Jes. Why did you come here?"
"Oh, I wanted to hang out with Maxi seeing as we both have the day off but I can see that he is busy," Jesse said.
"Oh. You can join us if you want we're only 20 minutes into the film so you can come and watch it with us," I then offered to Jesse.
"Yeah. Alright. What's it called?" Jesse then asked.
"Five Feet Apart and I just want to say that I have watched this already and when I watched it I physically cried so if you see me crying don't worry," I point out to both of them.
"Ok. You do get upset about the smallest things though so I am not surprised in the slightest," Maxi said.
"Well, it's not just the smallest thing that is going to make me upset alright. I bet you both $10 that you both will cry," I betted.
"Alright. I can't wait for $10," Jesse said. I then pressed play on the film and we continued to watch the film.
Just over an hour later the film has now finished and I could tell that Maxi was crying as I could feel the tears on my head but I was more shocked that when I turned my head I saw Jesse bawling his eyes out. "I will take my $10 from both of you now," I said to them. I got off Maxi's lap so that he could get the $10 out of his wallet and while he did that Jesse handed it over to me.
After Maxi handed me the $10, I got back onto his lap and we talked to Jesse for the rest of the day until he had to go home.
