Chapter 16

 

   Another month goes by, and nothing has happened.  Diavolo haven't heard anything about Mahogany or anything strange happening.  Brianna is going into her early 7th month of pregnancy, and she is more active than ever.  Being at the castle, she felt a little bored.  "Hey Barbatos, would you like to take a break, I can clean that for you?"  Barbatos looked completely shocked.  "Oh no, please rest before the babies get here. That's what we are for."  Brianna sighed, then Barbatos changed his mind.  "You know what, I didn't clean up in the bedrooms, I believe they could use a dusting."  Brianna was excited and hopped up off the couch.  "Wooo, nope, I shouldn't have done that!"  She was so excited she got dizzy and light headed.  "Brianna, please be careful.  I don't need you getting hurt.  Now let Barbatos finish, and you stay right here."  Diavolo said as he wrapped his arms around her as they sat on the couch together.  "Okay, I guess, I could read a book or something.  I should read the Tales of the Seven Lords series.  They are shrink wrapped and haven't been touched, ooo, maybe I could open them up."  Diavolo tapped her waist.  "Do so and parish sweetheart."  He said while reading his paperwork.  Brianna thought of something.  "Wanna go to the spa?"  Diavolo eye raised.  "Sure, we can get massages."  Brianna gets excited.  "Great, let me go to the bathroom and we can leave."  Brianna heads to the restroom and Diavolo books the messages.  "Yes, two, massages only, okay.  Really, okay. Thank you, goodbye."  Brianna just got back and was ready to go.  "All set?"  Diavolo was disappointed.  "They were full.  There will be spots available tomorrow.  Want to do something else?"  Brianna was disappointed too.  "No, I guess I can watch some AkuFlix, I'll be in the bedroom."  She turned around and walked away.  "She must be bored.  Bring 7 months along, she must be a little antsy too." Barbatos made an observation and Diavolo chimed in. "She can't really go anywhere fun.  What can she do?"  Diavolo thought about it, then Barbatos chimed in.  "How about wedding preparations.  I'm sure if she had a project, she would be busy for hours.  Just a suggestion, sir."  Diavolo agreed and went to see Brianna.  When he got up to the bedroom, she wasn't there.  "Brianna?"  Diavolo looked in the bathroom.  He looked in the girls room, "Brianna?"  He was frantic looking for her, until he found her on the balcony looking over Devildom.  "Hey, there you are, I was worried sick.  You can't just...". Brianna ran up and kissed him.  They kissed a little longer, until Brianna pulled away.  "Do you remember my first day in Devildom, and how I ran up to you, and said I love you?"  Diavolo smiled and hugged her tighter.  "Yes, but I believe I said it to you first though."  Brianna laughed.  "Oh please, you were...". Brianna looked into his eyes.  "I was what?"  He asked.  "You were...the best thing that I ever happened to bump into on that elevator."  Diavolo smiled wide.  "You remember that day too.  Because I remember bumping into a clumsy woman, who stepped aside for two people, locked eyes with me and I fell in love with her."  Brianna smiled wide.  "Brianna..."  Diavolo stepped back and summoned a ring, and got down on one knee.  "...I did this once, and you fell unconscious.  I promise to not do that again.  So I created this ring, for you and only you because I love you so much Brianna.  I don't ever want to be without you again.  Will you marry me?"  He opens that box and a beautiful red diamond ring was presented to her.  She gasped, and was completely shocked, she tackled him to the ground.  "Yes!  Diavolo!  A thousand times yes!  I love you too sweetheart!"  And he placed the ring on her finger and they embraced in a long kiss.  "Mm."  They moaned, kissing on the balcony until Diavolo pulled away for just a second.  "Now we need to plan a wedding?"  Brianna was excited.  "I'm on it.  RED EVERYTHING!!!"

   Barbatos laughed as he heard the good news from Brianna and Diavolo.  And soon the entire Devildom heard the news as well, some were overjoyed, and others weren't.  But Brianna and Diavolo didn't care, they still planned their wedding.  They set a date, which only took about two months to get the wedding prepared.  "I can't wait!  We will have an amazing wedding, and honeymoon."  Diavolo chimed in.  "And marriage."  Brianna cupped his face with her hands.  "And marriage."  They continued to look into each other eyes.  As they laid down for bed the night before the ceremony.  "Oo!"  Brianna said as she tried to get comfortable in the bed.  "What's wrong?"  Diavolo grew concerned.  "Nothing babe, just a little discomfort that's all.  I got my boppy."  She grabbed her pregnancy pillow positioned it under her to release pain off her back.  "How you feeling now?"  He asks as he watch her move from side to side.  "I'll manage.  Goodnight sweetie.  Let's have a great wedding tomorrow babe."  Brianna started falling asleep until the babies started kicking really hard.  "Oh, really.  Why are you two so active now?"  She asked the babies.  "Sweetie are you okay?"  He asked as he sat up and turned on the lamp.  Diavolo placed his hand on her stomach, and they moved more.  "Oooooooo!"  She howled.  Diavolo watched as she looked more uncomfortable.  "Babe I think the babies are ready."  Brianna shook her head.  "No, we are getting married first, babies second.  Even if you have to do the ceremony at the hospital.  I'm not going anywhere until I become your wife."  Diavolo brushed her hair away from her face, as she began to sweat.  "Honey, if you are in active labor, we can wait to get married.  Really, I can wait."  He said and Brianna had a tear running down her face.  "You don't want to marry me now?"  He laughed and shook his head.  "I would marry you everyday if I have too."

   The morning comes and Brianna is still in pain.  It intensified since last night, but her water hasn't broken neither has her plug fallen.  They notified the doctors about what she experienced so far.  As Brianna called the doctor and Diavolo grabbed his stopwatch.  "Hello, this is Brianna. And I think we might be experiencing labor pains."  She was asked to explain her pain.  "It was really intense last night, I was trying to go to sleep and all is a sudden a sharp pain in my stomach, the babies kicked really hard.  My stomach tightened, and I felt very, very uncomfortable."  They listened to her worries, and told her it could be Braxton Hicks contractions, and things will be fine, rest and relax.  "Okay, thank you!"  She turned to Diavolo.  "False alarm honey, they said it could be Braxton Hicks contractions.  That's all."  And they went about the day.  With Brianna getting everything ready for the ceremony today, she started to feel more uncomfortable again.  "I need to pee, again!" After Brianna peed, she felt a glop of something came out of her as she wiped.  (I think that was my plug.) Brianna goes to put on her dress, and it's a little tight, so they let it out for her to move.  It was an hour before go time when the contractions grew more intense then before.  "Uuuuuugghhhhh!"  Brianna growned, and took several deep breaths.  "Okay, we need to move, before these babies come!"  Brianna yelled.  Diavolo grew concerned.  "Sweetie, are you okay?  We can always wait, you know?"  Brianna grabbed him by the collar.  "We are getting married, because I want to be with you.  If we push it back, then we will be too busy to plan again.  I want for us to be married. I'm tired of waiting, I want you, and nobody else, ever!"  Diavolo looked at Brianna.  "Let's get married, right now!"  And they walked to the alter, in front of the invited guests.  As they stood there, Brianna was contracting a lot.  "Do you Brianna take this demon to be your husband?"  Brianna moaned, shook her head and said yes.  Now Lord Diavolo, do you take...no this a wrong!  No human should ever marry a demon.  I will not see this happen."  And the officiant transformed into a crow, cawed, and flew away.  And after the crow left, thousands of crows stormed the room.  They circled around in the air until a figure hovered above.  "This will not happen!  You don't get to win, I do.  For I will marry Lord Diavolo, and Devildom will be mine!"

   Everyone started running, and trying to get away from the crows.  They were destroying everything.  The decorations, flowers, even the buffet was destroyed, crows were attacking guests.  Diavolo had enough, transformed and combated against Mahogany.  "Really Lord Diavolo, are you going to hit your wife?"  And transformed into Brianna.  "No, I'm going to hit a sorcerer."  And threw a couple of lightning blasts her direction.  She dodged them and returned with crows trying to peck him.  Lucifer and his brother got involved.  Asmodeus charmed some of the crows to fight some crows, Leviathan summoned Lotan, to wash crows away, Lucifer, Mammon, Beelzebub used their strength to attack crows.  Even the little d's who had similar power as the brothers got involved.  Barbatos who quick evasion helped him dodge many birds before he reached Brianna over by the wall, deep breathing.  "Miss Brianna, please come with me."  She took his hand, and they escaped.  "Please wait here."  And she listened.  Barbatos disappeared again this time bringing Lord Diavolo with him.  "Let's do this out here.  She won't realize I'm gone.  I have a little d, as my replacement."  Brianna smiles, and her contractions comes more rapidly.  "Please hurry!"  Barbatos agrees.  "Lord Diavolo do you take Miss Brianna as you wife?"  Diavolo nods and says yes.  "Now please seal the contract.  Please take these rings and place them on each other's finger." Diavolo and Brianna takes the rings and place them on the ring fingers.  "With this ring, we are joined together forever.  No other person shall come between you.  For this is your eternal contract, your eternal pact. Miss Brianna, my master Lord Diavolo, I hereby pronounce you two as husband and wife."  Before they kissed, "Oh no, my just water broke!"  Brianna yelled.  "Please kiss your wife."  "Aaaaaaah!"  Brianna screams.  They lean in to kiss, right before Mahogany stumbled towards them.  "No!  No!  NOO!  You are mine!"  Diavolo turns to Brianna.  "No, you are mine."  And they kissed, which shined a different light.  One that signaled the entire Devildom, the rise of a new King.  "Nooooo!"  Mahogany yelled as the demon light was too much for her.  It stripped away her sorcerer rings, and turned her into stone, but not a regular stone person, but a three legged crow statue.  After the light dimmed, Brianna and Diavolo had a different glow about them, one where their hearts beat as one, and they felt each other presence as one.  "Okay, this is painful!"  Brianna yells.  "Okay, let's get you to the hospital."  And away they went to the human world to have the babies.
