A now heavily traumatised Reiner Braun sits by a window in his family home

"Reiner sweetie it's time for dinner"

His mother called from downstairs his whole family would be there, including his cousin Gabi who is a warrior candidate, she aspires to be like him and inherit his titan, the armoured

Reiner tired as fucking hell, forces himself to get up and sit with them, knowing and dreading that they will ask him about his time in paradis

And resurface those horrible memories

The memories of his closest freinds, who are now his enemies now that he's back in marley

He walked down the stairs and walked to his seat at the head of the table, being the oldest man

"REINER, REINER TELL US ABOUT PARADIS DID YOU KILL THOSE DEVILS"

Gabi Braun, seemed a bit to exited about death for a 12 year old but oh well its a good sign, she will be a great soldier not caring about death

However it's a bad thing for a normal 12 year old to be like
But she isn't a normal 12 year old is she? She lives in corrupt marley it's a lifestyle for eldians fight for marley or they will be treated like shit

"Gabi that's enough let him sit down"

Reiners mother knows how different he's been since he's back, and also knows Bertholdt and annie did not return with him, she thought he was grieving them, but it wasnt just them he missed being a soldier I guess you could call him a
warrior that wished to be a soldier
To be with his freinds
Without a catch
To be free of marley

But thats never gonna happen his family would suffer if he betrayed them

"Its fine mother I don't mind speaking about my hellish time on paradis"

"I don't mind at all"

Back in Reiners room he sat and thought to himself as he always did

"Oh berty why did I have to leave you to the devils" He silently sobbed "I can't believe I let you get captured"

What the fuck is wrong with me

"Reiner sweetie are you okay?"

His mother knocks on the door,

"You really hurried off after dinner?"

"I'm fine mum"
"I just miss bertholdt"

"I know sweetie, can I come in?"

"Sure."
Reiner replied pausing before he did to think

His mother opens the door

"I know you miss him, you two were close for a very long time"

She shuts the door and sits on his bed while he is on a chair by that same window again staring blankly out of it

"And it will be hard to get over knowing that he's still in the land of devils, and in their hands but you can't blame yourself, okay darling promise me you won't blame yourself"

"I promise"

He wasn't sure if that was genuine or not reiner braun had lost himself at somepoint within his time at paradis and without Bertholdt and annie to guide him he didnt know what to do

But marley needed the armoured so he couldn't even greive In peice without being called in for a battle plan to strike some other place, including being called in for information about paradis, Everything he had all the memories were now shared with his commanding officers he didnt even have his own memories anymore, he couldn't tell which ones were planted and which wernt it was like his brain was corrupted with virus and fuzzy

"Braun, we need you to come to discuss what we are doing in regards of the founder"

He heard on the small radio on his desk

At this point his mother had left, he forgot she was in there and he had zoned out, his mother knew that he was a bit messed up at the moment and left him be

"What?"

Suddenly he was snapped back to reality

Pressing on the button on the radio

"Sorry could you repeat that sir?"

"God braun you are so incompetent I said we need to sort out what we're doing about the founder you must get down here for the discussion being the only person we have who's seen him"

"Right away sir"

Reiner rushed down the stairs

"MUM I HAVE TO GO WARRIOR STUFF, ILL BE BACK LATER"
