His hands were so warm, just like I'd always imagined them to be. I couldn't hear his screams, or so I believed them to be, his face was filled with such terror. I couldn't feel my body, was I was under a trance? His lips, it looks like my name. I wonder what he's saying? Tears... on my face....
        "Don't cry..."

Two Years Ago

"You're early, Fae." He had just opened the door to find her waiting patiently outside. The fire in her bright topaz eyes did nothing but irritate him. She stood awaiting in her full armor, her long elven ears twitching in excitement.
"We're going out on patrol." She positively beamed. He was taken slightly aback before returning to his somewhat irrevocably agitated self.
"Lead the way, Lord Explosion Murder God Dynamite~" She seemed to have an arsenal of ways to torment him just by existing. It's not that he regretted his past hero name, he had just outgrown it. To be honest, it was a touch nostalgic.
"It's Lord Dynamite now." He glared down at her. The tips of her ears were once again pink and twitching with excitement, somewhat akin to how a dog would wag its tail. She could never hide her expressions, even when she tried, her eyes or ears would always give her away. Bakugou pushed those thoughts from his head and leapt from the balcony, using his explosions to propel himself safely to the ground. She leapt after him, spinning through the air like she was dancing, giggling as he turned quickly to catch her.
"Is this really how a number one hero acts from your country?!" He dropped her onto her feet as he cursed. She made no comment and adjusted her carbon steel armor, licking her thumb to rub off a small smudge. He grasped the back of his neck and sighed.
"Let's get to it, idiot." They walked in silence, observing every person that walked by.  People waved and took pictures as they walked by, the sight of a number one and number two hero much be exciting to them.
"I'll go check the alleyway." Despite her carefree nature and positive attitude, she took hero work very seriously, often forgetting time all together and staying out on patrol from dawn till dusk.
"You've got five minutes." They had set up time limits incase of emergency. She controlled the water from a nearby fountain, creating a wave and board of ice before surfing to the alleyway; her cerulean tunic and short white locks rippling behind her. Part of her reminded him of an old friend, someone who constantly works hard to be useful or helpful.
"Lord Dynamite!" She burst out of the alleyway to get his attention. He hurried to her to find a young man who was bleeding from his stomach, Fae controlled the blood enough to flow towards and away from the wound, stopping the bleeding for the time being. She had long studied the human body to be able to help the people she rescued, such as this case. Bakugou called in for an ambulance as she gently lay the man onto the pavement from his slouched position against the alley wall, and kept an eye on his slowing pulse. Bakugou knelt beside her and watched her and her reactions to understand the severity of the situation.
"He seems to have been stabbed with something blunt, all of his cash is missing from his wallet, and he's lost a dangerous amount of blood." He nodded and stood to survey the area. Whilst he was distracted, she licked her finger and stuck it in the bubble she placed to block the blood from escaping his veins. The bubble glowed for a mere moment before the man heaved and opened his eyes. The blood clotted immediately and the wound started a slow progression to healing fully as the veins began to reconnect.
"Where am I?" The man groaned in pain and looked up desperately into her eyes. She stroked his hair like a mother to her child and whispered in his ear softly.
"You're safe. Your wound will heal, and you will be okay." His face relaxed and tears filled his eyes.
"Thank you..." He once again lost consciousness. Bakugou turned back to see the color returning to the mans face, though he didn't quite understand, he didn't think it important to mention. Once the ambulance had come and gone, they continued their patrol, with an especially vigilant eye. A murdering thief was on the loose, and they both felt the fire of rage within their hearts.
"Help!! Help! Please!!" A woman's voice carried from a vacant park nearby. They both rushed towards the voice to find a man holding a women by her hair, and would come to find out it was the very man responsible for the recent attack. He had the woman's purse and quickly pulled her against him and put a bloody knife against her throat when they arrived.
"Lord Dynamite, don't be fooled. The wound was caused by a dull weapon, his knife is dull." She controlled the water in his body, causing him to put his hands behind his back and fall backward, allowing the woman to escape. Bakugou calmed the women, to the best of his abilities, while Fae froze the man in large crystallized ice. The authorities took care of the rest.

"I'd say today's patrol was good." She sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it slightly. He shrugged her hand away and continued walking back to the agency a step ahead of her. He hadn't always been so distant, in fact they'd once been quite close in Bakugou standards. It seemed as though he was pushing her away, and though she continued to smile and stay by his side, it broke her heart.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Bakugou... -san." It was hard to remember honorifics when you felt so close to people, especially when it was formal and not friendly.
        "Mmh." Was his only reply.
