Twenty two years of dreams, and she had to say- that was probably the weirdest of all of them
Seriously, her commiting suicide? Sure, maybe, but her getting brought back to life by a demon? That's just a tad bit far fetched. But here she was, standing behind her window in her shared dorm room, the dim candle light still filling the area with a warm glow, and the letter below it almost completely covered in melted wax..she probably should have thought that through betterThe weird thing was she didn't even feel like she had slept, but that was..the only explanation, really, what? The supernatural exists, but there's no way some demon brought her back to life, that's just slightly far fetched.. but a part of her was curious about it, the demon had said it's name was..what, nightmare? It sounded strangely familiar, but she couldn't dwell on it for to long, as she heard footsteps outside the room.
"Oh fuck"
She quickly stopped staring out the window and ran over to the table, blowing the candle out and trying desperately to get the letter off, despite the melted wax- she couldn't have Lana see this, no, that would be an absolute disaster- but she could barely scrape the letter off the table, still leaving the candle tipped over on its side, before Lana walked in from her night out with Lucy and lily- fuck how long had she been daydreaming?
"H-hey marama, everything a-alright?"
Everything was not alright she was about to have her girlfriend see her attempted suicide note gosh what the fuck does she do-"yep! Everything is dandy! Fine, completely normal, nothing to see here!"
She never even normally got this way when lying, it was so obvious she was normally a convincing liar- but now she was stumbling over her words, why was she doing that? This wasn't normal- this wasn't good".. o-okay? I-if you want to to me s-something you c-can, hun?"
The Russian said it like it was so- obvious, what? It was obvious she didn't want to talk about it- she felt her mood shift, and shift again, this was so weird she didn't normally have this what was going on"l-lan, can you go outside for a minute? I'm sorry I just need to calm down"
Lana's face softened, thank Satan- where there was pretty much only confusion before, her face had sympathy as she silently nodded and walked out of the room.. marama felt almost immediately calmer"What the fuck"
She couldn't help saying the thought out loud as she collapsed on the floor, wax cover letter clutched in her hands. She didn't understand what exactly was happening- why did she Panic so much around Lana? The other usually made her feel safe..but she pushed those thoughts aside in favor of moving to the table, cleaning off what wax she could and throwing it- along with the letter- in the trash. She knew she would have to talk to marama about it, but she would prefer for the other not to read the note- if it was even still eligible. She took about ten minutes cleaning and calming down, before the dark skinned girl nervously walked to the door, opening it and stepping into the hallway.
She was uh, mildly confused when she didn't see the other immediately, but she soon noticed their comforting smile and soft eyes looking at her from the ground next to the doorThere was a bit of..kind of comfortable silence, marama sitting next to the other and just staring at the ground for a second, trying to formulate some kind of explanation. After a while, she settled on
"..hey lana.""Hey, m-mara, a-are you b-better now?"
The fire elemental couldn't help but chuckle a bit- the careful tone made her much more comfortable, although that was undoubtedly the intention, she couldn't help but find it kind of humoris. Given the situation Lana didn't even understand..the girl leaned a head on the tallers shoulder, breathing out a sigh
"Yeah..I think, somewhat. I'm not sure really""D-do you want to t-talk about it? W-we can wait till t-tomorrow if you need"
"..nah, I think I can talk now- you won't be happy with it though"
She couldn't help but laugh a bit, Lana really wouldn't like it, maybe they would call her therapist? It was possible- didn't seem all that appealing though, giving it must have been at least 11:00 pm at this time
