After months of attacks from this new threat, an improvised plan to catch the new threat was made: the cruise ship Freedom was alerted and brought undercover heroes. 10% of the crew were heroes, making sure that the ship was protected. Just in case, battleships were also tailing behind to ambush the Dutchman, should it return.

However, even when they counterattacked, it was still able to retreat. They couldn't stop the Dutchman by conventional means. So... they'd need to have something to keep them there... so a plan was made.

Aizawa told Class 1A a surprise. "There is the annual school trip coming up... where students can see US heroes and how they operate... unfortunately, the only method available right now is by sea..."
Jirou, incredulous, asked, "Are you serious...? Why would we go then?"

He whispered to himself "I told Nezu that excuse wouldn't work." To his class, he then told them the truth. "Truth is, there was a message left on the last ship, asking for you all to be there by name. You are going to be bait. You can choose to opt out, but we've used this trip as an excuse to draw him out... We will bring Midoriya back. That is the plan. Understood?"

The class thought about it. Todoroki, a boy who had no connection to the rest of class, asked, "What do our parents think?"
Aizawa chalked it up to keeping Endeavour in the loop. "Your parents have only been told that we are going on a trip to the US. I have not told them everything I have told you. It is your choice whether you wish to do this." He sighed, "This is a part of growing into the heroes I know you can be. So... will you come on this trip?"

Without any other real option... the classs collectively agreed. "We'll come."
Aizawa only had one thing left to say to them, as they were let go for the day: "Then... get ready."

Class 1A knew what to expect, and felt nothing but gloom and tension as the day of the "trip" approached. When boarding, they tried to stay positive, but Jirou and Hitoshi had none of it, staying to themselves.

When seeing the other girls run around the ship in their shenanegans, Kyoka herself couldn't contain her contempt. "This is all... all their fault. All of this..." She gestured around, leaning on the railing stopping people from falling off the ship. Watching Japan grow smaller, she asked Hitoshi. "What did you think of Green? Sorry, Midoriya?"
The boy sighed, "I'd heard about him. Never met the guy. I thought all of you hero students were the same, attention seekers. Arrogant. But... after I heard the reports on the news... he seemed like a good person." He took in the view: "When he was called a traitor, I didn't believe it. It just didn't fit him as a person."

"Good to know I'm not alone in that." She sighed. "He saved my life, you know. At the Exam. Big ass robot was going to crush me, yet he didn't hesitate to jump in. And you know what he said at the end?"

"No. What?"

"Just one point." She laughed, not against him, but the absurdity of the situation. "He didn't get any points, but he had the power to knock it out."

That made the boy's eyes widened. "Are... you serious?"

Jirou nodded, "Yeah. All that power... he shattered his legs and right arm. Then I find out later it was his first time using the damn quirk."

"He was... quirkless?"

"Yes."

It was then that the galleon surfaced and attacked the cruise ship. In a russh, the crew boarded, and as soon as Midoriya saw them, he called to them all "Leave those ones to me! Kill the rest!" The crew listened to him, remembering the bargain with the Captain. He would soon be one of them properly.
