Gill came after 20 minutes. I looked at him, for at least some answers. " Mr. Rey, I gave her energy drinks. She'll come after 15 minutes or so." I nodded. I pace around for another 5 minutes. The doctor came - " Mr. Rey surgery was successful, he'll be up in no time. But you need to take care of him" He said patting my shoulder. I realized breath, that I didn't notice I was holding. Gill also relaxed a bit, he too sighed loudly. " Thank you so much Doctor" I thanked him. " We'll shift him in his room soon after, you can meet him then," He said with a smile. He was leaving, wait-

" Mr. Kukareja I have a question." He nodded. " You said dad wasn't responding then how come you proceeded with surgery?" Gill stiffened, I eyed him suspiciously.

" He wasn't responding to medication, but Rue requested to see him." He said smiling, adoring her....? " What did she spoke to dad?" I questioned him in a little rude tone. Okay, I suddenly despise him. " I have no idea sir, What they spoke?" he was frightened but he tried hard to mask it. " They?" I questioned him again.

" Rue and Mr. Gill" I nodded and dismissed him. Why the fuck is he addressing Rue by her first name? For some reason, I imagined Rue glaring towards me for being rude.

What the hell was that?

" Gill what the fuck is happening?" As far as I know, Rue is just an outsider, Why does she matter so much to Dad? Why the fuck did he gave 10% of mom's share to her. I remember our fight on dinner night. She behaved like she didn't know about any share transfer. Did she know?

"Gill spill now!" I gave him a murderous glare. I am using my persuasive power here but I need to know things. " Mr. Rey we -

"Wait Mr. Kukreja. I need to see Jo" Rue asked him with pleading eyes. He nodded Rue went into the room following Gill.

" Jo I know you can listen to me. I know because I have been in this situation once before, but I couldn't do anything. I was too young to even form a word.

I love you, Jo. You said you are my family. You are the only person close to a father figure in my life, heck even as a family. I am your responsibility, and I refused to live on my own. Please Jo I need you, Ved needs you. You know how Mrs. Rey is Ved deserves at least one well-functioning parent. Advik, he loves you, I can see it. And I know you can too. He doesn't deserve this. Please Jo we love you, we need you. Please at least for Sara's sake....... Please" Her cheeks were soaking with all the crying. She sprinted out of the room. Gill stood there for couple more seconds and left too.

" Hello, doctor I have one more request, can one more person meet Jo" Rue went to Mr. Kukareja's cabin. " Rue...." Rue cut him off. " Doctor please this is important, please...............Jo needs this, so does Advik" She said the last part under her breath. Only to herself.

I stood there, blankly. After listening to Gill, I couldn't believe my ears.

Was Rue right since the beginning? Was I being an asshole to her, about the things she didn't even have an idea about?                                                                                                                                                If she is that kind that's why she must be special to dad and mom....?
