One. Two. Three.
A blast of cool air hits my face as I open the car door and start to make my way up the front steps of my new high school. My heart beats faster and faster as I near the doors. My peers look care free and ready for anything as we all begin the new school year, which is the way I try to appear, although I'm not so sure its working. Fake it til you make it, keeps repeating in my head. I've only visited this school once, my brother and I, the day we registered for classes with a few other new students. However, this time the halls seem so much longer and the stairs seem so much higher than before as I begin to wander around, feeling utterly alone in the hallways full of people.
