A Fan Girl's Dream

Chapter Nine

As I pulled away from our kiss, I heard reporters coming to ask us questions.

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. What was that?" I asked the woman closest to me.

She stepped forward, away from others and spoke louder. "Are you and Sebastian dating now?"

Sebastian and I laughed. "This would be our second date now. So I wouldn't say we're dating quite yet."

Sebastian whispered in my ear. "You should post the picture." Then he spoke louder. "Personally, I'd say we're dating. Maybe not seriously, yet." He smiled at me. "But we're on date two and I'd like many more." Sebastian shrugged and kissed my cheek.

"What about you, Jenna? Would you say it's going well?"

I looked around behind me at his friends all talking to each other. "Um, he brought the Avengers on our date. I think this is the best date I've ever had."

"Okay, Jenna. We gotta actually get inside the party soon." Elena walked up to me.

"It was nice meeting you!" I made sure to smile at the reporter before we left.

Sebastian wrapped both his arms around me. "God, you're the cutest."

Everything felt perfect. This felt right. And then I had a thought. "Tom!" Both Hiddleston and Holland turned around. "Shit, sorry. Holland." They both laughed and Tom Holland walked up to me. "Do you mind if we FaceTime my son? He'd go crazy."

"Aw, yeah that'd be awesome! Let's do it!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a Spider-Man mask.

"You just carry that around with you?" I asked as he put it on.

Tom nodded. "The kids love it so I never leave home without it."

I laughed and dialed my ex husband's number. His face popped up on the screen. "Hey, David. I have a surprise for Sammy. Is he around?"

"Mom? Mom!" My son's face filled the screen.

"Hey baby. I miss you!"

"I watched you on tv mom! It was so cool!"

I laughed. "Well I have something pretty cool for you." I waved Tom over and he pressed his face against mine.

"Heard your name is Sam! What's up, man!" Tom said with his mask on.

"No way! Mom, is that?" Sam's face was lit up, I hadn't seen him this excited in so long.

I looked at Tom. "Take the mask off."

Tom did and after he fixed his hair he pressed his face against mine again. "Hey, man!"

Sam screamed. And I mean screamed. "Mom! That's Tom Holland!"

"I know, buddy! I made some new friends tonight! Want to see them all?" I smiled. I've been so focused on my books that for the most part, David has been the fun parent. But today, yeah today that's me. I couldn't hold my grin in if I wanted to.

I turned the phone so the rest of the group was behind me. "Hey guys!" I yelled. "Say hi to Sammy."

The all crowded around me, trying to be in the camera as they said hi to my son, who looked like his eyes might pop out of his head at this exact moment. "Mom... that's crazy! How?!"

"They came to my party, bud. Your mom's kind of a big deal now. They read my book."

"THE AVENGERS READ MY MOMS BOOK!" Sam screamed. The whole group of us heard him and we burst out laughing. "Can you ask Thor to come to my birthday?"

I turned to Chris Hemsworth. "Sorry, you know kids..."

"No, no. When is it?" He shook his head dismissing my apology.

"November 1st, the party is on his birthday."

Chris pushed Anthony, who was next to me, away. "I will be there! And we will shall see if the birthday boy is worthy!" He said, sounding exactly like Thor and I couldn't contain my laugh.

"Thank you!" Sam and I both said at the same time.

"All right, little man." I heard David's voice from off screen. "It's time for bed."

"Dad..."

"Hey, listen to your dad, bud. I'll see you soon." I blew a kiss and he blew on back.

David took the screen and smiled. "You look happy."

"This is real, David. I did it."

"You did, bug. I'm so proud of you." And again, I felt overwhelming grateful for him. Even after we split up, he still did everything he could to encourage me to write the books. At one point, he even came over to do my laundry because I was really in the zone but was also out of socks.

"I couldn't have done it without you, David. Seriously."

His smile got wider. "Oh, I know. Make sure your new boyfriend knows that."

We both laughed and Sebastian walked up and leaned down so his face pressed against mine. "Someone say new boyfriend?"

"Don't get ahead of yourself, bud." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Dear God, he's dumb attractive. I need to go, my ego can't handle this." David said, sarcastic and dramatic. His specialty.

Sebastian and I both laughed. "Thanks again, David. Love you both, forever."

"Love you back!" David and Sam both replied before the line ended.

"So." Sebastian turned me to face him. "New boyfriend, huh?"

"Oh, ignore that. David has a thing for dramatics. Don't take him seriously."

Sebastian laughed. "Nah. I think I will. Now post the picture so we can go in the party."

I nodded, going to find El to get her approval before I posted it.

"Holy shit, Jenna! That's amazing! God, post it now! You should've posted it right away!"
