You are probably wondering what happened, so let me tell you:
Two years after the events at Guanyin temple, the people started fighting between themselves; Some did not believe Jin Guangyao was evil and blamed Wei Wuxian. The Lan elders and the Jin sect were among them.
When they tried assassinating Wei Wuxian; Jin ling, Ouyang Zizhen, Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, Lan Zhan, and Lan Xichen decided to go to Lotus pier and leave their sect.
Eventually, people found out that Nie Huaisang killed Jin Guangyao. That day Nie Huaisang was executed, and the same week the Nie sect burned down. When the other Sects found out they were hiding at Lotus pier, they attacked.
Jiang Cheng, Lan Xichen, Lan Zhan, Wei Wuxian, the four juniors, and some disciplines decided to hide at Burial Mounds.
Eventually, the people started fighting between themselves with all the rumors going around. They were found after a month and managed to win since most people were already dead or injured, and there weren't any healers to help them; Unfortunately, they lost all of the disciplines, and Wen Ning had been burned to ash for real this time.
After a while, Wei Wuxian said,
"I can make an array that can bring us back to when we were fifteen; It will take our souls back, and the juniors will be back but will also be fifteen, I think."
Lan Xichen answered,
"That's a good idea, but we need a plan; Also, we need to know when and where exactly we will land."
Wei Wuxian suggested,
