Time again, Change is coming

Waking Up Part 2

Lan Zhan

I woke up at five am like I always do, I opened my eyes and saw I was in cloud recesses in my room from before. I looked around and saw my brother lying in a corner; He looked like he was asleep.

I stood up and knelt before him, shaking him slightly; After a while, he blinked his eyes open and looked like he had forgotten where he was, which was probably the case. While he got his bearings, I went and made some tea.

I returned a bit later to see him sitting up. I noticed bandages around his arm, and he looked like he hadn't slept. He probably stabbed himself after he woke up from a nightmare; And tried getting out of an illusion. Then he remembered their plan and then came to my room without waking me up.

I gave him a cup of tea; He looked at it before looking at me and then back at the tea. I got dressed and saw Huan-gege's (Lan Xichen) hairpiece and a bag lying to the side. I thought,

'He probably took some things from his room and brought them with him. He will probably stay here for the rest of the week. Likely so he doesn't stab himself again.'

I looked back to see that Huan-gege was drinking the tea and spacing out. Before I could say anything, there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see uncle standing there. Uncle asked,

"Do you know where your brother is?"

I nodded and let him inside. Huan-gege was still looking lost in thought. He didn't react to our uncle calling him. So I got to him and poked his head which got him out of his thoughts. He looked at me bewildered. I said,

"Uncle has been calling you for two minutes now."

Huan-gege looked from me to uncle then, back to me and then back to uncle. Uncle said,

"What are you doing here? We were supposed to meet at six AM."

Huan-gege frowned and was getting lost in thought again. I sighted. I looked between them and decided to say,

"Uncle, I think it is best if you leave brother here. Seeing as he probably won't be of any help before he gets his head together."

At that Huan-gege said,

"A-Zhan, it's not that bad,"

I replied,

"If you're spacing out every five minutes, how are you going to help uncle?"

Huan-gege said,

"Good point"

Then he muttered something unintelligible before spacing out again. Uncle looked between us and sighed,

"Fine, but try to get yourself together before the end of the week."

With that, he left.

I looked at Huan-gege again and said,

"Let's go talk to father."

With that, he pulled his hair together as he did in the future. ( The same as The Yiling Patriarch but with a blue tie.) Then we were off. When we arrived, we waited until father opened the door. When he did, he said,

"A-Zhan, A-Huan, what are you doing here?"

The name seemed enough to pull Huan-gege out of his thoughts. We got inside and explained everything.

Four hours later

Their father decided to leave secluded meditation and said to the elders,

"I am going on a trip with A-Huan and A-Zhan. We will be back by the end of the week."

We packed up and got going. Our first stop was the immortal's mountain, where we explained everything to Boashan Sanren and picked up Xiao Xingchen. The second stop was Baixue Temple, where we picked up Song Lan. Next, we went to Yueyang, where we found Xue Yang. Then, we went to Yi city and picked up A-Qing. Afterward, we went to Mo village, where we picked up Mo Xuanyu and his mother. We then went to Yunping, where we got Meng Yao and eventually took his mother with us. We then decided to go to Lotus pier. To get a favor from the sect leader, that would be to let A-Yao's mother and Xuanyu's mother stay there.

When we arrived, A-Ying (Wei Wuxian), Wanyin (Jiang Cheng), and the juniors looked stunned for a bit. Then they brought us to the sect leader. There was arguing coming from the dining room, and by the looks on the six others' faces, it was not the first time. Wanyin and Rulan scowled, A-Ying sighted, Sizhui frowned, and Jingyi and Zizhen fell silent. When we got there, we saw Jiang Yanli with tears in her eyes. When we went inside, we heard that the arguing was about A-Ying. Rulan had enough of it and Yelled,

"Why are you always arguing over A-Xian? Did you not adopt him? So aren't you a family? Maybe it would help; If you would listen to each other and pay attention to A-Cheng and A-Xian! In place of only A-Xian!"

They both looked shocked then, Madam Yu said,

"What do you know you don't have any parents."

Rulan was now truly angry he, fisted his hands and said,

"I may not have any parents but, my uncle took care of me even if he was only a teenager at the time. He might have been angry and hurt that his shijie died but, he took care of me as if I was his son! What you are doing is making A-Cheng feel useless and A-Xian like an idiot. Why do you think A-Xian stopped training? It was so A-Cheng could get praised too! But all that did was make you argue even more. For heaven's sake and everyone's here, are you going to stop fighting or not? Decide! We will make our decisions on how to handle you afterward."

Truly, shocked, Madam Yu said,

"The only thing Wei Wuxian does is bring trouble, and Jiang Cheng should not be so weak that he can't catch up! You have nothing to say about how we handle things!"

Rulan, Sizhui, Jingyi, Zizhen, A-Ying, A-Cheng, Huan-gege, and I became emotionless at that. Xuanyu (Mo Xuanyu) hid behind A-Yao (Meng Yao), A-Yang (Xue Yang) and A-Qing hid behind me, and Xingchen (Xiao Xingchen) and A-Song (Song Lan) were getting closer to father. Sizhui spoke, ending the silence,

"Fighting it is then. Sect leader Lan Wanted to speak you Sect leader Jiang."

With that, they turned to look at the others in the room. Father was the first to speak up,

"Sect Leader Jiang I would like to ask you for some favors. The first is if Meng Shi and Mo Yan could stay in Lotus pier? The second is a marriage proposal between A-Huan and Jiang Wanyin. And A-Zhan And Wei Wuxian."

At the last request, we froze. I thought,

'He probably noticed sized they didn't tell sect leader Jiang and Madam Yu.'

The same thoughts were going in the other time traveller's minds after a long silence sect Leader Jiang said,

"Sure, the last request needs to be made official, and I have a few questions if you don't mind."

Before our father could say anything, Wei Ying said,

"I will show Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen Lotus pier."

And with that, he dragged Wanyin and me out. I had just the time to grab Huan-gege and dragged him with us, the juniors taking Jiang Yanli and the others away.
