The sun shines on Beacon Academy as the Huntsmen and Huntresses in training all move to their classes and talked among themselves. Y/n was among the crowd as he walked with Ruby as the two were smiling as she had told him about the fight they had at the docks.

Y/n: Wow, so you actually fought Roman Torchwick?

Ruby: Well, not exactly. It was more on Blake and Sun's side since they were the ones that got up close and personal. I was only on the roof and shot back when he tried to shoot me.

Y/n: Well, at least you have a mission to bring him to justice. *pats Ruby's head* Still, I'm proud at the strong girl you've become, Rosebud.

Ruby blushes as she felt Y/n's hand on her head as she smiled looking up at him.

Ruby: Thanks, Y/n. *hugs Y/n tightly* It's so good to have you here with me again. I mean, it's good to have you here with Weiss as well, but she is a little stuck up.

Y/n: True, but once you get to know her, she grows on you.

Ruby: Maybe, but we will just have to see.

Y/n looked at her as he smiled and nods as the two made their way to class. Y/n sat at his seat in Goodwitch's class after putting his combat clothes as he sat with Ruby and her team. Ruby and Blake sat on his left side while Weiss and Yang sitting on his left. Weiss and Ruby would sit on both sides of him with small blushes on their face. Glynda came out holding a tablet as she tapped on it before looking at the students.

Glynda: Today will be two on two matches, the pairing will be made at random.

Glynda taps on her tablet as the large monitor appears above the training arena with images of each student moving at a high speed before stopping for the first match. The first two pictures were of Cardin and Russel of team CRDL and the other two were of Weiss and Y/n. Weiss looking in shock as she was paired with Y/n as Ruby pouted softly looking at her and crossed her arms.

Ruby: Why does she have to be paired with Y/n? Why couldn't it be me instead of her?

The four make their way to the arena after grabbing their weapons as Y/n stood across from Cardin and Weiss across from Russel. The four look at each other getting their weapons ready as Glynda looked at them.

Glynda: Begin!

Cardin grabs his mace as he yells and charges forward towards Y/n who unsheathes his sword and guards from the downward strike from Cardin. Russel holds your his blades as he charged at Weiss as she holds up her rapier and uses her glyph to dash forward. Y/n kicks Cardin in the stomach making him groan and back up as he looked at Y/n in anger.

Cardin: Bastard!

Y/n looked at him as he holds his sword up and unleashes a powerful series of sword slashes that seemingly takes the form of a rampaging tiger engulfed in flames that charges towards Cardin at blinding speeds. Cardin looked in shock before the tiger hits him blowing him back with his aura flashing as the monitor showed his aura went down by half. Ruby and the others looked in shock as he was able to knock down Cardin's aura by half with just one attack. Cardin lands on the ground and tumbles to a stop as he groaned while Russel looked at the team leader in shock before getting hit with a stream fire by Weiss. Y/n looks at Weiss as he smiled at her and shoots a wink at her as she looked at him and blushed madly.

Weiss: *blushes* D-Don't do that in the middle of a fight, you dolt!

Y/n: *chuckles* Sorry, Weiss Cream.
