Ambition shall fly,

But Ceaser must die.
Beware the ides of Mach.

Nothing is true,
No love, no friends,
Not a thing through and through.
Everything has its time, and everything ends.
Beware the ides of Mach.

Days shall past,
oh but too fast.
As one day ends,
Another day of pain starts again!
We are bought forever closer,
To our story's end,
Our final setting sun.
Beware the ides of March

Days become weeks,
And weeks to years.
Dictators will take control,
But just as they do,
Their Empire shall crumble,
Their Empire shall fall.                                                                                         Beware the ides of Mach.

Men will continue to fight.                                                                                          And oh they will continue to die.

Men shall plot and betray,
The bravest among them will fray!
No one is safe,
All men are a fair prize,
How can this not be the contract of life?
Beware the ides of Mach

Ceaser just laughed,
And Ceaser just sneered,
At the comrades that once called him near.
He thought he was greater,
He thought he was top tier!
If only he listened,
Then his arrogance would not cost him so dear.
Beware the Ides of March.

Brutus was about to let fly the dogs of war!
T'was Ceaser the target he bore!
Beware the Ides of March.

April hath come,
And May shall pass.
But none shall compare to this date!
The 15th of March,
Beware the Ides of March.

Ceaer had ambitions,
And in 65 BC
He became a tyrant on a mission.
Rome was in danger,
That was plain to see.
From the 'People's Republic'
To an aristocracy.                                                                                               Beware the Ides of March

The Senators met,
And the Senators agreed
That Ceaser must be stopped
And punished to the highest degree!
Beware the Ides of March.

He did not listen,
Nor did he care.
Ceaser went about his transition,
from friend to enemy of the State,
All within the breath of air!
Beware the Ides of March.

He knew not that today, the 15th of March should be his last,
He knew not of the treacherous path.
He knew not that he would not see the day halfed!
That it was destiny.
Beware the Ides of March.

The Congress men gathered round,
The double ended daggers,
hidden well beneath their Roman made gowns!
Beware the Ides of March.

T'was the day of days;
Ceaser did fall and met with his fate,
While Auctavious rose and his noble place!
Beware the Ides of March.

I beseech you reading this,
Take up the lessons learnt from the Beware the Ides of March!
Be not arrogant like the men of Rome,
But take refuge in what you know!
Now be gone home,
And stay yourself well.
For before us comes a living hell,
Beware the Ides of March!
