The Realm

Chapter 5

I wake up with the craving of pizza. I groan into my pillow and turn around. I see Matt and the memories of kissing him, comes flooding back.

'What are you doing here?' I sit up.

'Im here to get you up and to start training.'

'Not right now, I hope.'

'No, after you have gotten ready and have breakfast.'

'Good because im hungry!' I exclaim.

'Be downstairs in 15,' and he leaves. I jump out of bed and get changed into a pair of shorts and a black t-shirt, and tie my hair up. Then I run downstairs and walk into the kitchen, where I see Matt and two other girls.

'Amelia, this is Madison and Rebecca. They will be staying in the 8th and 9th rooms.' Madison has medium blonde hair tied in a low ponytail and blue eyes. She is wearing a orange sparkly top and black leggings. Rebecca has her red hair in a pixie cut and she has hazel eyes with eyeliner around them. She is wearing a purple jumper and demin shorts. They both are drinking coffee at the breakfast bar while Matt is leaning against the counter. I walk to the fridge and pull out an apple and I start eating it.

'Madi and Rebecca will meet us there at the training room,' and we walked there. The training room has black walls and dark floor boards and it's full of equipment. Matt got me started at the obstacle course, running and jumping.

Suddenly, the door bursts open and I see Madi and Rebecca. Rebecca gave me a book.

'This book teaches you about the powers you devlop around your age. Read it, really important.'

After a couple more hours of training, I was so tried. Matt walked me back to my room.

'So, I told you training was hard,' he smiles.

'I didn't know it was going to be that hard,' I say, 'I would like to jump out of a window now instead of doing that again!'

Matt laughs, 'don't though, we have to have you. We need to overthrow the Prince and find the lost Princess.'

'What does the Prince want from me?'

'He wants you to help him. Recantly we have heard about some human movement in the Forest and we think that it is the Princess.'

'So we can go and get the Princess.'

'It's not that easy.'

'Why not?'

'The Prince will have guards through out the forest searching for her.'

'Why would they want to find her if she is so powerful?'

'If they catch her, they will kill her and they will make sure that you don't know anything. The Prince needs your powers to control the rebels. They are slowly defeating the Defenders.'

'Will they make me kill them?'

'Im not sure but at all times you must pretend that you don't know anything about this, ok?'

I nod and Matt starts to walk away.

'Matt!' I call out and he turns, 'the only thing I remember is waking up in the cell, what happened before that?'

Matt looked down, 'you lost your memories since you were caught dating a defender.'

'Did he get punished by it?'

'Not really, but he is monitered nearly 24/7.'

'Why did I have to lose my memories?'

'You were really stuborn and you wouldn't have stopped dating him. It was the only way.'

'Did I love him?'

'You really did.'

'Thanks, i'll guess I will see you tomorrow.'

'Yes, I will teach you how to control your powers. Goodnight, Princess Amelia!' and he walks away.

I feel bad about the Defender and I need to make it up to him so I walk to Madison's room and knock. The door opens and I see Madison at the door and Rebecca sitting on the bed.

'Hey Amelia, why you here?'

'Matt told me about me dating a Defender and I really bad. I want to make it up to him.'

'I don't think that you understand, if people see you with him more,than he will get punished,' Rebecca says.

'What do you mean more? Do I know him?'

Madison looks back at Rebecca. 'Um,' they say at the the same time.

'I have to go, don't worry about it,' I say and I walk back to my room. Rebecca said that I know him him, but the only Defender I know is Matt. I stop down in my tracks. I dated Matt.
