"Norus?" Torray rudely interrupted, "Are you kidding me?"
He turned to me in exasperation and gripped my arm tightly.
"Did you seriously just blow our cover to some chick who has practically given up her entire life to be with my nemesis?"
I put a hand to my mouth as I realised what I had done. Torray sighed in annoyance.
"Am I interrupting something?" Said a males voice.

Mia whipped around, her face a deep shade of red.
"Roberto?" She gasped, quickly fixing up her hair.
'Roberto' gave a nod and a small smile our way, before giving his full attention to Mia. Mia's face went an even darker crimson and a foolish smile spread across her face. Her usual confidence had vanished into thin air and she looked vulnerable, nothing like she had been only moments before. Roberto placed a hand on her shoulder and Mia looked down at the place they touched, a shiver rolling up her spine.
"Are you alright?" He asked, concerned.
"Im fine. Why wouldn't I be?" She responded, in a shy tone.
"Oh well, I just wanted to say hi... And... I miss you."

Torray and I watched silently as Mia smiled uncontrollably, and tried to hide behind her hand.
"I... I missed you too," she stuttered lamely.
Roberto leaned in casually and whispered something in her ear. Mia giggled and grasped onto Roberto's hands like a child. Footsteps approached from the end of the hall and Roberto quickly backed away.
"I must depart now. But I hope to see you tonight?" He said suggestively.
I made a gagging face at Torray. He snorted and we both looked away, but thankfully neither of the two noticed us as they were too preoccupied in each-other.
"Of course I'll be there!" Mia cried without hesitation.
Roberto bent down and planted a kiss on her hand, then turned and strolled away, wistfully glancing back. Mia sighed deeply as she watched his figure disappear down the hallway.

Torray cleared his throat loudly.
"Hello? Lover girl? You still there?"
Mia snapped back to attention and attempted to hide her smile with a plain face. She looked over our inquisitive faces and groaned.
"What!" She grumbled.
I nudged her lightly in the side.
"You are so into him. What happened to smexy pexy Norus?"
"Was it really that obvious?" Mia looked around in fear, "I don't want him to hear! Norus has eyes and ears everywhere!"
The little bit of emotion Mia had showed me made me think back to old times, and I couldn't help but smile. I was about to respond when a booming voice interrupted our chat.

"Didn't want me to hear what?"
Torrays face grew grim.
"Norus," he hissed.
I gasped and spun around to face a tall man with jet black hair. His eyes were brown with a tint of red, and his lips were curled into a cruel smile.
"Agh, Torray I see you met my brother Roberto. Such a nuisance is he not?" Norus shot a glare at Mia which said 'we'll talk about this later.'
Norus held out his hand.
"But where are my manners? I haven't seen you in months Torray! I see you found yourself a demon whore."
I slunk back into the shadows, only causing Norus to laugh. Torray ignored Norus's outstretched hand with a tight frown.
"I don't want to fight you," Torray stated calmly, "all I want is to talk."

Norus's smile grew wider and he gestured to the large double doors at the end of the corridor.
"Well let's go somewhere a bit more private shall we?"
We hesitantly followed him in and the door closed with a loud bang. We appeared to be in a throne room, with a large red and gold throne placed neatly in the centre. I instantly recognised Lizard and Scar, grinning evilly as they took us in.
"Look what the cat dragged in," chuckled Scar.
Norus ignored them and waved them out with a flick of his hand.
"Wait outside will you?"
Scar and Lizard obediently left, and we sat in the looming room with only Norus as company. Norus cracked his knuckles loudly and took a seat in the throne as we stood before him. Torray grimaced, clearly disagreeing about his place on the throne, but he did not comment.

"Torray, my old friend, what do you have to say for yourself? You betrayed your own kind. That is not how a demon should act!"
"I did not betray you, I simply disagreed with your ideas of 'justice'. Honestly, look what you have done to our civilisation! We need to make an agreement."
"And what may that be?"
"You allow me to live a life outside of The Bellor, without having to worry about you or your demon slaves coming after me. You change the way you treat the demons, and stop attacking Earth. In return, I will stay out of your way and you will never hear from me again."
Norus looked thoughtful. For a moment I could have sworn that he would agree.

Suddenly he sprung from the chair and grabbed my arms, pulling them behind my back.
"Hey!" I yelled, kicking out at him.
Norus's demon strength held me easily in his grasp but I kept trying to escape as my wrists began to burn. Torray shot forwards and shoved Norus back into the throne violently.
"Keep your filthy hands off her," he hissed.
"Oh but that would ruin the fun of it," Norus chuckled. He threw me away, and I crashed into a wall. I felt blood trickle down my forehead, but I jumped up regaining my balance.

"Norus! Stop!" Screamed Torray as Norus rushed towards me, slamming me back into the wall.
I slumped down, feeling faint. I had never felt this useless in my life. All my training in self defence could not defend me against a demon. I feebly tried to stand, but I could not. A loud click came from my back and at first I did not know what it was, but suddenly, the demon wings that I had clipped to my dress, fell to the floor. Norus stepped back in astonishment.
"What is this?" He spat, "you let a human weakling into The Bellor!"
No longer caring about me, he lunged at Torray, spreading his black wings to allow him to glide across the floor. The two men collided in mid air and Norus tackled Torray to the ground. Torray shoved him off and ran up the wall, flipping backwards so he was facing Norus, then kicked him down.

Neither of the demons noticed me as I dizzily rose from my uncomfortable position on the floor. In the corner of the room there was a small wooden table. I lazily jogged towards it, feeling like I was going to pass out. I picked up the tiny table and snapped one of its legs on my knee. It left a jagged sword-like thing for a weapon.

I staggered towards them, watching as Torray punched Norus hard in his stomach. Both demons were weakening, and it would not be long before one of them gave up; hopefully not Torray. I felt my balance come back to me, and I regained composure as I crept up behind Norus, gripping the wooden dagger tightly. Norus spun around, kicking out at Torray in the process, knocking him off his feet. He burst out laughing when he saw my weapon.
"You are seriously going to try and kill me with that thing? Useless humans," he snorted.
I could tell he expected me to attempt a sloppy stab at his chest, but I decided to try and attack him unexpectedly. I threw myself down to his feet, and scraped the wood across his legs.
"Agh!" Norus howled.
Torray sprung at him from behind, and they both fell to the floor again.
"How dare you mortal!" Norus shrieked at me, "you will pay for that!"

Norus shook Torray away and flew towards me, wings outstretched. His speed was too much, and I was struck across the cheek by a talon on his wing. Blood poured from the wound, and once again I felt dizzy and faint. I pretended to be completely exhausted, and half closed my eyes, hoping that Norus would think I was no use anymore. To my horror, he knelt down beside me, curling his wing so the talon was at my neck.
"I'm going to enjoy killing you weakling."
As his talon pierced my neck, I flash backed to the time the demons took my parents. The look of horror on their faces as they were thrown into the air where they would never return. The demons laughing like it was all so entertaining for them. I could not let them win again.
"You killed my parents," I growled.
With all my strength, I stuck the piece of wood deep into Norus's chest. His eyes bulged in shock and he released his talon from my neck just as Torray rushed over. Torray lifted me up and away from Norus.
"We have to get out of here Sydney. You missed his heart, he will be after us in minutes!"
I tried to respond, but my neck ached and I had a huge headache.

Torray ran from the room, with me on the verge of losing consciousness. We sprung past Lizard and Scar, past hordes of demons and rushed towards the portal as fast as we could. Shouts of pursuit echoed down the hallway from Lizard and Scar and I felt Torray pick up speed. I lifted my head in a daze and spotted the portal at the end of the corridor, about fifty metres away.
"Almost there," Torray muttered.
We were about to step through the portal, as a talon slashed across my chest. I shrieked out in agony and we disappeared into the blue haze, gone from The Bellor.
