Closing the unfinished homework on her desk, Ashton Devlin looked up into the mirror zoning out.

A loud sound from her front porch caused her to turn her head quickly. She had seen a lot of horror movies to know what to do in this situation.

Grabbing the only defence she had, hair straighteners, she began slowly walking down the stairs. When she heard her front door open she paused, wondering if this was her last day alive.

Holding the straighteners like a bat, she swings at the two black figures in her kitchen.

"Ahhhhh" screamed three different voices.
"Stop, stop oh my god ash stop." Yelled a voice. Ashton looked at her two best friends breathing heavily. "What the hell are you doing in my house at," she looked at her bare wrist "freaking midnight."

She looked at stiles knowing he would have the answer. "Um well.. we need your help" he said quickly.

"No"
"No?"
"No"
"No?"
"I'm going to hit you, no!"

Scott eyed the two brunettes becoming impatient. "Guys." He sternly stated. Both of them looked at Scott, annoyed.

Remembering why they were there, stiles rushed out his sentence. "We going to find a dead body." He sounded excited.

Ashton raised her eyebrows, smirking a little. "Cool lets go," she also sounded excited, "can I go and change first tho" The boys looked down at her seeing she was wearing grey shorts and a plain white top.

She took that as a yes as she run up the stairs "hurry up" stiles shouted and whispered up the stairs.

She came back in the same top but with black jeans and a dark hoodie. She moved past the boys putting her doc martens on and grabbing a jacket. "Let's go."

Stepping out of the baby blue jeep that stiles loved and adored so much, the trio start to walk into the maze of trees.

"We seriously doing this?" Scott asked shutting his door.

"You're the one whose always bitching nothing good happens in this town" stiles answered his question, walking behind Ashton. "Why are you making that face?" He asked looking at Ashtons face.

"My shoes" she said bluntly, looking down at the mud all over them. Stiles shook his head following after her.

"I was trying to get a good night sleep for practise tomorrow." Called Scott from behind Stiles and Ashton.

"Right, so you two can keep the bench warm." Ashton looked back to see the boy looking at her offended. "I'm being honest." Shrugging her shoulders she turned back around.

"Well I'm playing this year," Scott told her "in fact I'm playing first line." Ashton and stiles both laughed quickly.

"Hey that's the spirit, everyone should have a dream. Even if it's not a realistic one." Ashton glanced at Stiles smiling a little.

"Stiles let him believe what he believes" She tried not to laugh and Scott gave her look as to say 'really?'. She just smiled looking back to stiles who was now in front of her.

"Out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Ashton stopped in her tracks when she heard Scotts question. "Yes, I would like to know too."

Stiles unsure of the answer "I didn't even think about that," laughing nervously.

"And what if whoever killed the body is still out here?" Ashton asked turning to look around, now paranoid.

"Also something I didn't think about." Ashton and Scott burned holes into Stiles' back.

"Great" The brunette girl muttered "it's good to see you have this planned out." Commended Scott.

Stiles started climbing up a hill on his hands and knees, carrying his torch as well. He looked back handing out his hand to Ashton, who took it with a smile.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic, should be the one holding the flashlight." The shaggy haired boy, took his inhaler before Ashton offered to help him out.

Ashton had been pulled to the ground by Stiles. "hey!" Shouted at him, which resorted in him covering her mouth and he pointed to the torches and many police cars. She pulled his hand away muttering a sorry.

"Ok, come on." He took Ashtons hand pulling her with him. They heard Scott call for stiles, making Ashton want to go back for the asthmatic but stiles wouldn't let go of her hand.

They both looked back to try and see Scott but a dog barking viciously at them caused them to fall down in shock. Both rolled around trying to get away from the Kaye nine. "Stay right there" the officer shouted.

Before they could get eaten to the big dog, a voice they both were too familiar too shouted. "Hang on, hang on," he ran other looking down at the two teenaged tangled together. "These two belong to me."

Flashlights made the two brunettes wince slightly, resulting in Ashton hiding her face in stiles' chest. Stiles pulled both off their bodies off the ground, as Ashton smiled innocently at the sheriff.

"Hey dad, how you doing?" Stiles said still trying to see again, as Ashton just stood next to him smiling brightly.

"So you go through all my calls?" Asked stiles' dad, smiling lightly at Ashton.

He always had a soft spot for the browned eyes brunette ever since stiles came running to his dad, saying some pretty girl through sand in his eye. At first sheriff wasn't that happy but when he saw that innocent smile of hers, he couldn't be mad anymore. Then when her parents died, he made it is mission to make sure nothing happens to the girl he loved like a daughter.

"Not the boring ones" Stiles scratched his head slightly.

"I see two of you so where's the other partner in crime?" He looked around.

"Who Scott?" Stiles asked like he didn't have a clue.

"He's sleeping, said something about getting a good night sleep for school tomorrow." Interrupted Ashton smiling.

Stiles nodded along "yep, just us. Alone. In the woods." Ashton closed her eyes, after hearing how bad that sounded.

Sheriff looked at the teens "Scott! Scott you at there?" No response.

"Right ok," sheriff raised his eyebrows "your going to take Ashton home, safe and then you and me can have a discussion about a thing named invasion in privacy."

"Come on" Ashton took his hand, heading back to the jeep.

Stiles looked at their intertwined hands smiling, "ok." When they arrived at the jeep, stiles nodded. "Are we ever going to talk about it?"

"Maybe soon." It had only been a month since her parents died and all Scott and Stiles wanted to ask her is 'are you ok?' But she hadn't spoke a word about it since it happened.
