Chapter 10

Lyric P.O.V

I don't know why but I gave in to the kiss. It felt like this kiss was meant to be. Our lips moves perfectly in sync with each other. He bit my bottom lip asking for entrance which caused a trigger. I jumped back from him and stared at him for a little bit trying to figure out why I kissed him back. Without another word, I turned around and went into the hospital. When I turned around to take a quick glance at the door he had a look of hurt on his face. Maybe I'm just imagining things.

Nathan's P.O.V

At first the kiss was to get her to be quiet. But as soon as my lips made contact with her soft ones I couldn't pull away. It felt magical. Like we were the only ones here right now. I stood outside for a couple more minutes before walking inside of the hospital. I asked the lady at the front desk for Kathy Wayers( sidenote: her moms name.)
She told me room 204 so I began to look for the elevators. Getting on the elevators I was trying to think of a reason why I was here to explain to her mom if she asked. The elevator doors opened and I started to make my way down to Room 204. I knocked on the door 3 times waiting for someone to come in. I heard Lyric say some come in so I walked in. Ms. Wayers had a shocked expression on her face and the tension between me and Lyric was strong.
Clearing my throat " How are you Ms.Wayers I heard about the accident and I'm so sorry that had to happen to you." she said fine then they caught me up on what had happened to her. Basically she was leaving from work and was gonna stop at the 7|11 to get some chips. Then a couple of guys had a gun and was pointing it at a teenage boy. Even though she didn't know him she tried to be brave and stop them but long story short they shot her. They didn't hit any important organs or anything like that though. We stayed for a couple more minutes until we had decided to leave so she could rest. Me and lyric had short talk in the room with her mom to act normal,but on the elevator we were very silent. The tension grew more and more. Walking out the hospital I was starting to get annoyed that she wasn't talking to me. Before she could open the car door all the way I shut it aggressively standing in front of it. "Whats wrong with you Lyric" I said while crossing my arms over my chest. "Please just leave me alone and take me home" "no we are going to talk about this right now.... is there a reason your not talking to me.... am I making you uncomfortable....do you not want to be seen with me .... embarrassed.... the kiss ... or--." " Can we talk about this in a more private place ... please" she whispered. I sighed which showed I agreed and we hopped in the car.
