CHRISTMAS (chapter 5)

  AXELS POV

Alyssa's father is coming to pick me up from campus. Sadly Alyssa had to stay home to help clean the house with her mom. He should be here to pick me up in the next thirty minutes or so. Already have my bags  in class with me ready to go when they call me to leave. Sitting down during the lecture just staring at the clock, counting down the minutes before he gets here, then I'll be one step closer to seeing my girlfriend. Thirty minutes have passed and a few minutes later the office calls me saying I'm getting picked up. I get up and leave, to go outside and meet him at the car. "hey Axel." he said to me. "hey sir." I said while shaking his hand. "I'm sorry that Alyssa couldn't make it this trip, shes helping her mother clean up the house for Christmas." he said to me. "I understand. That just give us time to get to know one another." I said chuckling nervously.  "That is very true." he said chuckling. "well we should get on the road before we get yelled at." he said with small grin. "That we should." he said while we both got in the car.  2 hours in of the care ride Alyssa calls her father.  "Whats up Lyssa?" he said over the speaker phone. "um are yall still in the car?" she asked "yes we have a hour left why?" he said " um I was wondering if you could stop somewhere and get me some tampons?" she asked nervously. "your mother doesn't have any?" he asked her "If she did i wouldn't be calling you right now" she said. "okay i'll get some." he said "thank you daddy !" she said "you're welcome. i love you, we see you soon." he said to her " love you too be careful !" she said " we will" he said then she hangs up.  "okay so before we get home we gotta go get her some tampons, and when I say we, I mean you." he said "why me?" i asked laughing " cause you're the boyfriend." he said grinning "ugh fine." i said trying not to laugh. "Hey I've been buying that stuff for her since she was 12, now it's your turn." He said " touche." I said back. 
We have 20 more minutes till we get to the house. "Just stop at the Walmart near the house them I'll go in." I told him. "Okay sounds good." He said back.
16 minutes later we get to Walmart. I go into the isle, found the tampons and there are so many kinds. So I pick the playtex. Cause I didn't think it mattered what kind to buy. So I go to the self checkout and go back to the car to leave to head back to the house. Didn't even get to the front door till I got trampled on. "Babe !!" She said opening the door to run out and jump on me. "Hey babygirl." I said smiling and holding her. "Damn I missed you." She said snuggling her head near my neck. "And I missed you too." I said putting her down so I can lean down and give her a kiss. "Oh by  the way here you go." I said scolding her  "oh... Thank you...but um honey you bought me the wrong kind.." she said "woman they had 10 different kinds, maybe you should have told someone what kind." I said "well my dad knows what kind, I thought he was getting them not you." She said looking upset. " He told me to go in and get them." I said back. " I didn't know that, im sorry." She said. "It's fine sweetheart." I said. "Let's go inside." She said smiling up at me.
We go inside and when we get in her mom said. "Y'all need to dress nice tonight, were going out to eat tonight." Lyssa gave her mom a embarrassing look. "Don't worry honey, you and Axel can sit in another booth while your father, brother and I sit in one." She said smiling "thank goodness." Alyssa said. " So you don't wanna sit with them?" I asked. "No, I thought we could sit together just ourselves, if that's okay?" She said asking. "That's fine babe." I said smiling down at her. "I gotta go get dressed." She said "yeah me too." I said.
The whole family gets dress, and we head out to the crab shack. "Alyssa, Axel, you two can go over to those stools if y'all want, that has the water front view." Her mom said to us. "Let's go sit down." Alyssa said pulling me too the stools. "Okay okay." I said laughing.
We get to ordering the food and drinks, and after dinner Alyssa and I just sit their talking about anything and everything. When everyone got done, and they paid, we went back home. It was only 9pm when we got home. "Axel, wanna watch a movie?." She asked me. "That's fine as long as it's not Twilight." I said to her. "But baby!."she said to me with her cute little puppy face she does. "No buts." I said smiling. "Then can we watch Sons Of Anarchy." She said with the little puppy eyes she does. "I can deal with that." I said smiling.
I mean how can I say no to her when she does those little cute puppy eyes and the little quiver lip. We didn't even get to watch the whole episode. Alyssa fell asleep thirty minutes into it so I decided to go to sleep as well. Untill her older brother Mason came in the living room at 2am and found her asleep on the couch with me.

ALYSSA POV
"Alyssa wake up, go to her room and go back to sleep."  Mason said with a angry look on his face. "Why? We weren't doing anything except sleeping." I said to him
"That's not the point, dad and is drunk in the garage and he will be coming back in to go to bed soon, and you need to be in your room before that happens." He said. "Mase I asked dad before he got drunk and he said it's fine as long as we sleep on the couch." I said back. "Room. Now." He said in his serious tone.
I felt movement on the couch and it was Axel waking up. "Lyssa do what mason says please. He's telling you for a good reason." Axel said to me rubbing his eyes.
"Fine, whatever." I said getting up off the couch, stomping away.
It's Christmas morning and Axel comes in my room and wakes me up. "Wakey, wakey your parents told me to come get you up, were waiting for your uncle so we can open presents." he said. "nope, going back to sleep." i said rolling back over.  The next thing you know the covers came off and i was being dragged by my feet ! "Axel, stop! fine i'm getting up!" i yelled "then get your ass up and get in the shower before he gets here." he said "but i wanna stay in my pjs." i said pouting. "fine, you can where your cute little pjs, but after he gets here and we open presents, were going out." he said with a little smirk.                                                                                             My uncle finally arrived and we open presents.  " we loved the presents, thank y'all so much! we appreciate it, Axel and I wanna go spend some time together if that's okay with everyone?" i asked. "Go have fun." my mom said smiling "thank you." i said hugging everyone before leaving.   Axel drags me out the house, while walking I ask. "where are we going?" i said giggling. "shh its a surprise." he said smiling down at me.                                                                                                                       We start walking up to my old Elementary School. Me thinking he wants to hang out and chill on the bench or something. He takes my hand and leads me to the swings, so I sit down on the swing and he starts pushing me. " I wanna ask you something but, I'm kinda nervous." he said. "Just ask." i said smiling. Turning around not knowing what was going on, I turned around and there Axel was on one knee. "Alyssa Marie White will you marry me?" he asked.
