I decided to go talk to the judge and request a search warrant for her house. After I presented the evidence, the judge granted the warrant. We called the cops to have back-up just in case she has a gun, but when we walked inside everything was gone. I did still smell the stench Marie described over the phone, and what we saw in the basement will stay in the back of my mind forever. Marie was dead and a note was stapled to her stomach. “Detective Kendall Klear needs to come to 4321 Indie Flower Road at eight o’clock tonight ALONE. If not alone, no one from the B.O.F.D. will ever be seen again.”

When I got to the address, I heard the song “The Hanging Tree” from Mockingjay part 1, from the Hunger Games series, playing, but that wasn’t the off putting thing about it. The off putting thing was that THERE WAS A TREE. It wasn’t just any tree, it was a tree with a hangman’s noose in it. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a piece of paper floating down from the air. “ Let’s play tag! To catch me you gotta do 1 simple thing. The only thing you need to do is quit your job. This was so easy to do. All I have to do just straight up say “ I quit”. I will get my job back.

After I did that, Lisa came out. I handcuffed her and put her in the back of my car. She kept on saying that it was so much fun killing her  friends and family, and that even if she does go to jail she won’t stop. She said that she would have one of her helpers kill someone, and this time no one will ever find out. I kept telling her and telling her that we will make sure that no one will ever be allowed to visit her. She has no family that can see her, she has NO friends, and most importantly no one would ever want to see her.

When the trial date came, all my evidence was proven false. All of the clues like the IPhone, and the gun was false. The note I got stapled to Marie’s stomach, the not that fell from the sky telling me to quit my job. The judge knew all about the note, but since there was no proof to support our claims, she had to let Lisa walk free.

When I got home there was a not laying on the counter saying, “ Told you that I would still kill. But since you and your precious people at B.O.F.D. thought you could get me and put me in jail, I’m gonna start with you people. Most importantly, I will start with you.” Knowing that Lisa couldn’t get to me, I laughed at the note. All of the sudden, I felt a cold sensation in my abdomen. I look down and I see blood. Lots of blood. I guess this is it, she won, but what she doesn’t know is that.................
