CHAPTER 1

Hugo's POV
Hi everyone! My name is Hugo Hughes. Im 20 years old and im going to college.

Here's the thing, i don't have a girlfriend, at least not for long. We always break up soon because i wasn't 'into it'. I don't care. I have my fun with them, like showing off i have a girlfriend. Not that kind of fun guys! Yes im still a virgin at the age of 20. Pathetic right?

Something happened today i wasn't expecting. But really what happened i don't even know myself.

Somehow i got a girlfriend. What's so special about this one since i always have one but we break up soon, why is this one any different?
Well let's just say im in a relationship with a girl i can't stan at all. I don't like her one bit. She's soo god damn annoying, always giving me lectures about something or she that she just loooves the attention that she gets from everyone in our school. Yeah i get it she thinks she's very pretty.

Anyway we don't get along so you're all probably wondering how we got in a relationship. Well its more like fake dating.
We were in a wrong place in a wrong time.
So let me tell you what happened.

"Hey Hugo! Wait up!" i heard someone calling my name in the hallway. I stop and turn around to see who it was. I couldn't recognize the voice because of the big crowd.

"Hi." it was James.

"What do you want?" i asked. I was in a hurrry, my class is almost starting.

"Well...i was wondering if you wanted to hang out later after school?" he asks.

"Sure."

James is one of my best friends. Its funny how we are friends  since his sister is one the people i don't like. Sofia. That girl. What's up with her?

I heard a ring which came from my phone. I look up and saw a message from my grandma that she wants me to visit her.

I made a 'tsc' sound. "Hey James. Sorry i can't go out today. I need to go visit my grandma."

"Ah its okay man. Another time then." he smiles. We both went our seperate ways.

My class soon started.

After class i headed straight to hospital. I sighed knowing grandma will only pester me about school or how she never meets any of my friends or a girlfriend.
I need to introduce someone to her, i just want to make her happy. She means so much to me. But sometimes she knows how to be a pain in the ass.

She's a really cool grandma. She loves being on her phone watching tik tok or Netflix movies. Recently she learned how to use Instagram. She already loves it.

Yep she's a cool granny. But that's not the reason why we are so close. She understands me, always supports me in everything, she's there for me when i feel bad, when my parents aren't there she is.
That's just how much she is an amazing person. That's why she's one of my important people to me.

I got to hospital, i said hi at the registration desk and went up the stairs going to her room. Room 5 floor 2.

I knocked on her door before going in.

"Hey grandma." i said sweetly hello. I saw her on the phone showing something to her friends which were all sitting around her bed.

Grandma has a lot of friends in hospital, she's very outgoing person and loves to communicate with everyone. She always know how to start a conversation even though she never met that person and few minutes later you see them already laughing and making jokes.

I wonder how she does it. Im not good with people, im trying but im nothing like her. I only know how to communicate with some people and that's why i have so little friends but they are my true friends.
