The Baby Arrangement

Ben and Miranda were walking through the mall on one of their rare days off. They had been friends for a good few years now and spent majority of their time together.

After walking out of Victoria secret that Miranda dragged them into. They were making their way to the food court when something or rather someone grabbed onto Ben's legs.

"Hi handsome." Miranda cooed looking down at the adorable baby boy who smiled at her.

"Where are your parents?" Ben stated looking around the busy mall and Miranda looked around as well before looking back down at the toddler.

She scanned the room looking for someone who would look similar to the baby.

"That's his mom right there." Miranda pointed to a woman and Ben looked over.

"How do you know?" He questioned confused.

"Well look around the mall. She is the only one who looks like she is about to have a heart attack and her world is over. She's grabbing fistfuls of her hair. Her face is red and she keeps looking around." Miranda explained.

Miranda grabbed Ben's hand and walked over holding the baby.

"Excuse me? I think he's yours." Miranda said softly. She watched as the woman's head snapped up and she nodded wildly wiping her tears. The toddler reach for his mom and she quickly grabbed him.

"Oh my God. Thank you." The woman said to them before kissing his cheeks.

"You almost gave mommy a heart attack." She cooed and Miranda elbowed Ben in the stomach because she was right.

"How did you know that Caleb was mine?" She smiled.

"You were the only one who looked to be in a crisis." Miranda answered.

"I was. He scared the living day lights out of me. We were sitting on the bench and my daughter Camryn started crying. I looked over into the diaper bag and made her a bottle and after giving it to her. I turned to my left and Caleb was gone." She explained.

Ben and Miranda listened to the story and they imagined having kids. Miranda wanted a baby and so did Ben.

It was the perfect time career wise for Miranda. She had tried with Tucker, but no luck and now they were divorced.

I like the C coordinated names." Ben commented.

"Oh thank you." She responded taking her daughter out of her car seat.

"My name is Courtney and my husband's name is Chris. So we went with c's."

Miranda awed at her baby girl. "She is so beautiful." Miranda marveled. She looked to be about 4 months. She had thick curly hair and big brown eyes.

"Thank you. You two don't have any?" Courtney asked sweetly.

"Oh no." Ben started.

"We are both doctors and haven't found the time to have them yet." Miranda answered.

"If you are waiting for the perfect time you will never have them. There is never a perfect time to have kids, but they are so worth it. The love that you will have for them is unimaginable and unexplainable. You will never love something so much in your life until you become a mother or a father." She said looking between them. Ben and Miranda nodded thinking.

"Okay it was nice meeting you Courtney, Caleb and miss Camryn." Miranda smiled.

"Oh it was nice meeting you two as well and thank you so much..... wait." Courtney responded digging in her purse.
