The hall was decorated with her favourite fairy lights. It looked really pretty but Raavi was too tired to appreciate the ambience. She hadn't had a proper sleep in days. However little sleep she managed was tainted by nightmares. She knew she pretty much looked like a zombie by now.
"Raavi? Kya hua? Kaha khoyi hai?" Raavi turned towards Sonal when she heard her voice. "Main kabse awaaz de rahi thi tujhe. Mujhe na bohot tension ho rahi hai mera performance kharaab ho jayega. Main naa saare steps bhul rahi hu." Sonal looked panicked.
Raavi sighed. It was Sonal's sangeet. She didn't want to stress the bride with her troubles. Raavi plastered a smile on her face and decided to enjoy the ceremony anyways.
"Arre tu aise hi pareshan ho rahi hai. Itni practice ki hai. Don't worry sab accha hoga tu dekhna."
"Sameer ko mera surprise pasand ayega na?"
Raavi smiled genuinely at that. These two are so adorable together. Childhood sweethearts, now getting ready to spend the rest of their lives together. Sonal was practically glowing just thinking of Sameer.
"Sameer ko tu sada hua tamatar bhi de de usko toh woh bhi Kohinoor lagega." Raavi laughed.
"Waise ek baat puchu? Tujhe kaisa feel ho raha hai? Matlab yeh shaadi ko leke. Nervously ya cold feet aa rahi hai kya?"
"Nervousness toh hai. Sangeet ki performance kharab ho jayegi. Mehendi waali gadbad kar degi. Haldi ki pictures kharab ho jayegi. Shaadi mein baraat late hogi. Khana pasand nahi ayega. Yahi sab khayal aa rahe hai mujhe toh." Sonal said, panicking at the thought of the million things that could go wrong.
"Nahi Sonal yeh sab nahi. Matlab tujhe Sameer ke saath aage ki life sochke nervousness nahi hoti?"
"Haan hoti hai naa. Bohot nervousness hoti hai. Pata nahi main uss parivaar mein dhal paungi yaa nahi. Waha sabne mujhe itna pyaar dia hai. I just hope main uss ghar ki responsibilities waise hi nibha pau jaise itne saalon tak Maa ne kara hai." Sonal said, smiling into the distance.
"Aur Sameer?" Raavi couldn't help but ask.
"Sameer kya?" Sonal asked confused.
"Tujhe Sameer ko leke nervousness nahi hoti?"
Sonal paused for a moment before replying.
"Sach kahu toh hoti hai. Itne saal se hum ek doosre se pyaar karte hai. Ab humara rishta ek level up ho raha hai. Toh bohot nervousness aur excitement ho rahi hai. Butterflies in the stomach waali feeling aati hai. Haan thoda worried hu uske habits ko leke. Kya woh geela towel bed pe rakh dega? Raat ko kharaate leke meri neend kharab karega kya? Samaan idhar udhar rakh ke bhool jayega kya? Yahi sab soch ke thodi ghabrahat hoti hai." Sonal paused. "But all that aside, I can't wait to start our lives together. Uska chehra dekhti hu, uski awaaz sunti hu toh saari tension bhul jaati hu. Saari nervousness dur ho jaati hai. Bas woh aur main. Aur kuch nahi."
