Raavi opened the wardrobe to pick some clothes for Shiva. After their haldi waali holi they cannot possibly let anyone else see them in that condition. She had already taken a shower and changed into Dhara di's saree, and now she was hunting for clothes for her Bhootnath when her attention was diverted towards the drawer. She remembered the last time Shiva and her were in this position and she blushed. But Shiva's panicked expression piqued her curiosity. Why did he not want her to open that drawer? What was in it? Was there where he hid the love letters from those stupid girls from the store? Or the gifts they gave him??? Raavi was suddenly jealous of the supposed letters and imagined burning those in her mind. She wrenched the drawer open, half expecting to see something extremely weird. But she halted in her tracks when she saw what she would have never imagined in her wildest dreams.
"Meri earring!!!!" Raavi screamed and Shiva, who had just entered the storeroom, froze in shock.
"Aye mami ki behen ki beti!!!! Yeh sab kya taaka jhaaki kar rahi hai tu????" Shiva hurried over to her, slamming the drawer shut.
"Shiva! Yeh meri earring hai! Mujhe laga yeh kho gayi thi! Tere paas kaise ayi!!" Raavi exclaimed before frowning. "Tu ne meri earring churayi? Woh bhi ek?"
"Aye Chipkali! Pagal ho gayi hai kya?? Main kyun churau teri earring??" Shiva spluttered in shock. How does she even come up with stuff like that??
"Toh yeh tere paas kaise??" Raavi asked confused.
Shiva looked away, mumbling something under his breath.
"Kya bol raha hai, zor se bol. Muh ke andar badbadayega toh mujhe kuch samajh ni aane wala, Shiva!"
"Woh-main- woh galti se ek din...mere kapdon mein lagi hui mili thi. Toh main - "
"Meri earring tere kapdon mein lagi hui mili? Kab?" Raavi asked surprised.
"Woh-woh...ummmm......uss din....woh ghat pe...tu ro rahi thi...," Shiva shut his eyes, trailing off.
"Ghat pe....main ro rahi thi....? Kab?" Raavi raked her brains confused when suddenly she remembered what Shiva was talking about. Raavi gaped at him, feeling a mixture of surprise and happiness. "Shiva, woh toh college time ki baat hai! Kareeb 3-4 saal pehle ki baat hai. Aur yeh ab tak tere paas hai?"
Shiva didn't answer. He turned away from her, but he felt her hand stopping him. His gaze found hers as he looked at her in curiousity and hesitation. She curled her arms around his neck, drawing him closer. She swept his hair away from his forehead and rubbed her nose against his affectionately.
"Tu itna kya darr raha hai, Shiva? Tera haq hai mujhse judi har baat pe. Ab toh yeh earring bhi teri aur yeh earring waali bhi," Raavi said as she leaned into Shiva, taking in the warmth he was giving her. Shiva looked at her, at first in surprise, before a slow smile spread across his lips and his entire face lit up in unbridled happiness. She rubbed his cheek guiltily, pecking it softly. "I'm sorry. Marna nahi chhaye tha."
"Galti meri thi. Main sunne ko hi tayyar nahi tha teri baat," Shiva said as he wrapped his arms around her, and Raavi noticed the sudden spike in her heartbeat as she realised he was once again in that godforsaken white towel. She felt herself shiver involuntarily at his proximity. His gaze, which had been so intent on her eyes, dropped for a moment to her lips, which she unconsciously wet, before returning to meet her eyes.
"Shiva, main.....woh....." she started, but her words were cut off, when suddenly his soft lips were upon her own, gently persuading her to kiss him back. His tongue ran along her lower lip, begging entrance. Raavi's lips parted of their own accord, as if this was the most natural thing in the world and she felt herself kiss him back, slowly and fervidly. She felt him pull her even closer, one hand finding purchase on her bare waist, squeezing it and the other slid around to the back of her neck, holding her to him. Her hands roved the expanse of his naked back, nails digging into him. His kiss was searing, and it wasn't long until they losing track of time, of everything really, except for each other. Raavi didn't want to stop. Her hands found their way to his waist and she tugged the end of the towel, pulling it off.
