Parni groaned. “I’m so bored!”
Ducky looked up from where she was doing her math homework. “Shut up Parni! I gotta finish this.”
“Who cares?! I’m so bored!” She was silent for a while until she yelled, “Wait, I wanna go to the pool!”
Ducky sighed. Seven year olds are so annoying. They’re small enough to whine and get away with it, but big enough to be smart and get what they want.
“Make mom take you,” Ducky replied, never taking her eyes off her assignment.
“Ok!” Parni bounced out the room, upsetting a lego structure, causing it to tip over and crash into a billion pieces on the floor.
Ducky barely answered one math question when her annoying sister barged in again.
“Mom said you have to take me!”
Ducky groaned.

At the pool, Ducky sat down on one of the pool chairs and continued doing her homework.
“YUCKY! Come play with me!” Parni pleaded. Ducky scowled at the nickname.
A man sitting next to her chuckled.
Ducky turned angrily towards the man while she was walking towards her sister. To her surprise, it was the same man she dreamed about last night, the one and only Mr. Hertz! She lost her footing and fell into the deep end of the pool.
