Word Count: (1,347)"Why are you even in here?" I asked, not turning my attention from the board.
"The same reasons as you I'm only assuming." Billy sighed as slumped into the chair behind me and pulled a notebook from his bag.
Billy? Honors French? Fuck no.
Right?"Does that... surprise you? He softly chuckled, clicking his pen in one hand, and his head resting in the other.
"Oui, franchement, c'est." -(Yes quite frankly, it does.) I replied, twisting around in my chair to read off his smugness.
"Ne faites pas de crise cardiaque au soleil." -(Well don't have a heart attack sunshine.) Billy said, focusing back onto the pages that laid in front of him.
"You're such a fucking ass." I scoffed under my breath as I turned back around.
"What was that?" Billy hummed with a tone of attitude mixed in within.
"Nothing shit bird." I snapped, sliding back down into the hard plastic chair.

The class dragged on for what felt like forever. As silence overcame most of the period, Billy rebelled against it.
Typical.
Hissing small remarks, from childish taunts to raunchy snarks. Never one second of peace.
As I began to collect my things from my desk, I spotted a familiar figure that stood by a set of dark colored lockers just parallel to the classroom. I quickly stuffed papers and worksheets into my book bag and began to walk towards the door.
"Au revoir messieurs Dupont." -(Goodbye Mrs. Dupont.) I waved as I walked from the room.
"Hey Rachel! You coming to the game tonight?" Carol smiled, clicking her tongue as she accentuated her wording.
"Oh you bet." I rolled my eyes.
"Why the glum look?" Carol whined as we followed with the crowd of students down the hall.
"I'm not just gonna be at the game. I'm fucking scorekeeping." I sighed as placed my hands on either side of my bag's straps.
"Ugh what a drag." Carol said, lightheartedly elbowing me in the side.
"Scorekeeper huh?" Steve chimed in, throwing an arm around my shoulder.
"Uhuh..." I pouted as the three of us rounded the corner to a hallway of lockers.
"As much as I love the way this conversation is headed, I have to get ready for tryouts." I added as we neared my locker.
"Oh yeah our little lacrosse star has more important things to do than Geometry and Civics." Carol said with a hint of sarcasm.
"W- wait what? You get to miss two periods?!" Steve exclaimed, shaking his long brown hair.
"What a lucky little shit."
"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever it's going to be hell." I said in defense while rubbing my forehead.
"Well we'll let you to it." Carol devilishly smiled.
