Kira
I scanned the room, hoping to see Eliana somewhere. But obviously, she was nowhere to be seen.
I groaned, standing up and walking off.
The small ballroom only made up a tiny portion of the house, and I'd only ever been in this room. The House was way too fancy for me to want to be here and honestly, I just really dint like the Mayor and his parade of wives.
It was kinda like he was desperate to always have someone beside him.
I couldn't say i related to the guy because I'd never had someone like me the way he s
"Hey, have you seen Eliana?" I asked one of her friends, Jenna.
"Nope. arent you the annoying sister?" she rolled her eyes and typing something onto her phone.
"excuse m- whatever," I said, turning away.
One of the only things my mum and I agreed on was that Eliana had a very....questionable taste in friends.
I rushed around the room looking for Eliana for a couple more minutes before I walked outside to check around the back of the building.
If you're wondering, she wasn't there either. she's such a waste of space; and my time.
I walked back inside, out of the cold, and started spamming her phone with voicemails. This was by far the most id ever used her number in a hot minute.
At this point, I was pacing up and down in an empty corridor, pressing the call button repeatedly until my finger cramped.
"I don't think they're interested in talking to you," Rome said, appearing in front of me.
"stop creeping up on me, it's weird." I breathed, opening the space between us that he'd just closed.
"Why are you so desperate to talk to this person?" he asked, gently taking my phone from my hand and looking at the contact.
"I need to find my freaking sister in like, the next two minutes," I breathed.
"there's two of you?" he raised his eyebrow at me
"yes. Are you going to help me or not?" I asked, staring blankly at him.
"hmmm, what's in it for me?" he smirked
"nothing? what do you want, my everlasting gratitude? leave or help me"
"I think you're forgetting, I live here now." I glared at his comment and turned away, walking down the corridor, "fine, I'll help!" he shouted, running after me.
"Why are we looking through the house?" he murmured
"because she's the kind of person to run off somewhere she's not supposed to be" I answered, climbing the first set of stairs.
"With who? there better not be any funny business going on near my room. I don't care about the rest of the house"
"Good to know" I rolled my eyes, "why is it so quiet?"
"because no one's supposed to be up here," he said blankly, opening doors as we walked past them.
He wandered ahead of me and I double-checked all the doors after him. Eventually, he turned a corner before turning right back around with a smug look on his face, "I think I found your sister" he laughed
"what, where?" I questioned him
"yeah, you might want to give them a bit of privacy" he burst out laughing
"fuck no. she's literally fifteen" I pushed past him as he tried to hold me back.
I walked around the corner and they immediately froze in horror. But thankfully, no one had lost their clothes yet so my eyes weren't as scarred as I thought they'd be.
"Eliana, we have to leave, now!" I practically yelled.
"Oh my god, get out!" she shrieked
"you aren't even in an actual room!" I looked over at the guy she was with and he looked scared to death.
"Please don't tell my parents" he whispered in shock
"get out!" I yelled and he scurried off.
"I've been looking for you for nearly half an hour. we were supposed to leave ages ago and Mum and Dad are worried about you." I said, glaring at her
"you can't control me" she sneered, walking past me.
"no, you're right. But Mum and Dad can" I gave her a smug look.
"you wouldn't" she narrowed her eyes at me.
"But I could if I wanted to. So try to keep it pg." I smirked, walking beside her, down the corridor and out of the building to where Mum and Dad were waiting in the car.
