“No! please! hel—”

As I sipped her blood slowly, I heard the villagers rushing near me, “Heʼs here!”

“Ahhh, thanks for the food,” I said and leave immediately.

Iʼm Lazzarus. I was only 13 when I realised that Iʼm not a normal person— I have a weird condition that can make me lived for eternity.

My mom died when I was in her womb. The villagers said when I was a little kid that iʼm a monster but my dad protected me from harm— the villagers wants to kill me.

My dad died eventually, he was hunted by the villagers. Itʼs not his fault but he choose to sacrifice his life for me. I still remember his last words, “Youʼre not a monster, youʼre a blessing from God. So, live Lazzarus.”

“Come here, Killian,”

Killian is my loyal servant.

“Iʼm here, your highness,” he answered and bowed his head.

“Give me blood from a new born lady,” I said as I looked away, I closed my eyes.

“Yes, your highness,” he replied.

Itʼs been 187 years ago since I kept my promise to my dad.

I am now 200 years old. I never celebrated my birthday ever since — my most hated day ever.

“Heʼs that boy, right?”

“Yes, he is,”

“Heʼs a monster. We should get away from him.”

I look down when I heard them gossiping about me and my dad smiled at me, “Donʼt mind them, Lazzarus.” I nodded.

“Wake up! Lazzarus! Wake up!”
my dad keep shouting at me as he pulled me out of the bed, he shouted loudly, “Lazzarus! Run!”

“W-Why, dad? What happene—” he cut my words as he keep on shouting.

“Just run, Lazzarus! Theyʼre coming to kill you,”

“Who? B-But why, dad? I asked while stuttering.

“Just go, please, my son,” he caress my face as he held back his tears, he kissed my forehead.

“D-Dad...”

“Youʼre not a monster, youʼre a blessing from God. So, live Lazzarus.” he stated as he tied me up in a horse, he cried.

I woked up and remembered everything...

I run as fast as I can.

It took me 3 days and 3 nights to find our home.

I kneeled down unconsciously as I saw my dad got crucified.

I wailed like thereʼs no tomorrow.

“I will kill you all... I wonʼt let your grandchildrens live... I-I will—” I stared at the village as I looked at my dadʼs face, I fell asleep.
