Firey's eyes shot open, staring at the blurry ceiling. He was sweating a lot, despite the A.C. being turned on. The guilt stayed inside his throat, his eyes welling in tears. "That was already years ago, damnit." He mumbled, sniffling his tears inside. Firey tried to hold himself still, and calm. Trying to remember what his therapist had told him, on what to do whenever he gets dreams like this. Unable to calm himself, Firey snuggled himself up to the light snoring that accompanied him, hoping that maybe somehow it'll make him feel a little better.

Lazy hands reached and cupped his face. It was soft, like the touch of a mother to their child, that kind of soft. "Is it that dream again?"

Firey sighed, letting himself melt into the calming voice. "Yeah, It's always been happening."

"You know I forgive you already, right?" Leafy earnestly smiled at him. "Yeah, but what if you just felt bad for me?" Firey stuttered, a lot of overthinking compiled into his head.

Leafy hummed and locked their foreheads together. "I didn't feel bad, I forgave you because I knew you meant those words in your apology. I know you meant what you said to me in the hang glider."

Firey chuckled, reciting it together with Leafy. "I just wanted you to know that I'm tired of all this turmoil going on, all these conflicts and stuff. And I'd rather spend my time with you whether on dream island or not."

"How do you still remember that to this day?"

"Well, unlike a certain someone I know, I don't forget."

Firey scoffed, jabbing her. "Wow! You threw that shade towards me, Leafy."

"You can't do anything about it, Firey. I'm your wife, and I'll live here forever!"

Ah, right. The two had gotten married a year ago, after they had gotten out of B.F.B. Firey had proposed to Leafy inside an abandoned Dream Island, in which Leafy had nervously also brought out a ring because she also wanted to kneel in front of him. Their wedding wasn't too grand, per se, but Four and X were happy to attend, and to help them prep the wedding with Four's magic creation powers. A couple of contestants had came, with the most notable one was Coiny who sat in the back, cried throughout the ceremony. Probably guilt and joy. He lost their bet in who would get married first, so suck that Coiny.

Firey fondly smiles, bringing Leafy's hands to his lips as he presses a gentle kiss on her knuckles. "I'm happy to have you forever, then." Leafy shares the same smile, her eyes closing gently as she rested in his arms. "T's too early, Firey. Let's get some shut eye first. M' tired, y'know.."

With one last kiss to her forehead, he closes his eyes beside her. "I know."

"Leafy, can you give me the salt?" Firey asked, as Leafy snaked behind him, handing him the salt as she rested in his back. "Woah, chef Firey, whatcha cookin'?"

Firey scoffs, the egg. "Where do you get your lingo?"

"Spent too much time with Gelatin recently. Watched a movie yesterday where they had strange accents. It was funny."

"Leafy, you sound like an old grandfather at this point."

"I do not,"

Firey looks behind, to shoot his eyes at her pouting face. "Yes, you do."

"Well, if I'm an old grandfather," She wraps her arms around him, burying her face in the crook of his neck. "Then you're my caring wife. Sweet doting grandmother. Malewife. Firey, my malewife. Cooking me eggs."

Firey flicked her forehead, his other hand holding a plate of eggs and bacon. "You're lucky I love you. Breakfast is served."
Leafy skedaddled to the table, two plates already ready with a pitcher of cold water, with their respective mugs.
