San Francisco was the kind of beautiful that made you want to sit and stare for hours, absorbing the beauty. The buildings towered above you, each building had lights scattered about. They flickered on and off like a field of fireflies. The red and white river of brake lights illuminated the streets all day and night.

The ocean wasn't too far off. The big, beautiful golden gate bridge stretching across the bay, cars rushing over. The red metal stood out against the clear blue sky, complimenting each other wonderfully.

It was impossible for Bee to take in the beauty. She could only take in the fear that awaited her in the dark and dangerous parts of the city. Every single time a police car passed her old, beat up pick up truck, she shivered.

She was once again reluctantly placed between Andy and Cam. Cameron, who was now terribly afraid of her, stared out her window, Her long asian hair reached down to her waistline.

Bee had always wanted long hair, it would cascade down her back and she would be able to braid it. Nick could run his hands through it and she could straighten it and not have it look odd.

"May I ask, where the hell are we going to be staying here Nick?" Anger was visible on Andy's face, but Nick could tell it was a sincere question.

"My grandma Jane's old house. She left it to my parents in her will and I took the key before I left." Nick rarely talked about his grandma Jane. Bee could remember the day he was gone from school in the eight grade to go to her funeral. The day before and the day after his mood didn't change. He stayed the same. Happy-go-lucky and charming.

Then again, he did start dealing drugs about six months later, but he swore it was unrelated.

"How long until we get there?" Cameron asked quite snotty. She sounded like an impatient little boy on vacation with his family."

"We're about twenty minuets away. Andy, who's here?" Nick sounded like a government official ordering people around. In a way, a weird twisted way, it turned her on.

Andy quietly gave a list of names. Most of which were fairly common names, mostly guys. "We lost Caroline and Ty." Andy was choked up and doing a pretty great job of hiding it.

Jason inhaled deeply and laid his head back against the headrest. "It is what it is."

Nick was emotionless. "Caroline. She must have gone out fighting."

A burning wave of jealousy hit Bee. Who was this Caroline? She shouldn't even be jealous of her, Nick wanted her for years and he finally got her. The jealously snaked through her brain like a boa constrictor, strangling her other thoughts.

"Caroline huh? She's your old bitch then?"

Nobody spoke. Cameron covered her mouth with her hand and Andy sighed. He opened his mouth as if he was going to speak, but closed it.

"Anybody want to explain who Caroline was?" Bee confidently crossed her arms.

"Killing two people made you even more badass, queen Bee." A half smile on Nick's face.

The last thing Bee needed to be reminded of were the events in the last few hours. Killing two people. The worst decision she had ever made.

When she got in the car after the incident, Andy explained they were just here to collect taxes from the hotel's manager and would leave within ten minuets. They didn't have dogs. They were just two everyday police officers.

"Just tell me who Caroline was."

Nick claimed there was too much to tell, but Bee was persistent. She learned the basics. Caroline was Caroline Grace Chibosky, and that she was eighteen. She was a dealer like Nick, just in a lower position. Her parents left her when she was sixteen and she dropped out of school and that she had apparently become close to Nick.
