The truck was gone by the end of the day. Andy and Jason drove it most of the day out to the national seashore, driving and pushing it in as far as they could.
"The rain will sweep it out more." Was what Jason used to reassure them it would never wash back up. Bee was still skeptical. She refused to feed her anxiety with issues of lesser importance. She knew it was a lie, but at least it was out of the way enough.
Jason and Bee walked to one of the shadiest and crappiest dollar stores to find food, and came back with a few boxes of dry cereal and canned soup.
That night consisted of her eating two cans of chicken soup and box of dry cocoa puffs.
The water was on, but it was cloudy and had a strong suffer smell, but they all managed to push through it.
"Don't worry about any of this, do you hear me Bee?" Jason looked up from his cold soup with he was delicately sipping from a small spoon. "Once we loose a pound or two of coke, you'll be eating at five star restaurants and wearing nothing but designers."
"Keep your damn designers." Bee laughed through her nose. "I'm not that kid of person." She looked up and shot lasers at Cameron through her eyes.
"Yes, the esteemed queen Bee more of a Target person." Nick smiled at her, graduation flashing through both of their minds.
Bee spit out her soup and began to laugh.
"I've never seen this side of you before, Nick." Andy had a twisted smile on his face. "Is he usually like this?"
"When we were back home he always was." Bee stated. "I've missed seeing it."
Jason set down his empty soup bowl and sighed. "I hate to be the killjoy here, but we do need total about your first deal, Bee."
Bee suddenly felt her soup start to come back up her throat, but held back. She nodded and straightened her spine. She inhaled sharply. She liked the idea of her getting her anxiety under control, even if it was only a little bit.
Jason looked at the faces around the table and began to quietly speak. "You're gong to need a different name as you deal, like an alter-ego."
"Can I pick my own name?"
"Sure."
"Hell yes." Bee whispered und her breath.
"Your first job is downtown San Fransisco. It's two guys, there names are Justin and Austin. They're small, weak, and quiet as mice."
"I can handle them." Bee nodded. The thought actually exited her. Her as a drug dealer was always one of those things you think about, but never actually pursued.
"I bet you can, but you're going to have me as backup. You're short and more terrified than they are." said Jason. He looked over at Nick, who was staring down into his bowl. His face held no expression.
